Objective:The study was to analyze the epidemiology characteristics of varicella of Liyang city from 2006 to 2014,and to explore the epidemic regularity. The study also analyzed the vaccination rate of varicella vaccine of the children who were 0?3 years old and investigated the knowledge of varicella and the will of the injection of varicella vaccine of the parents whose children were 0?5 years old.The study provided scientific basis of the prevention strategies of varicella and targeted health education.Materials and Methods:The varicella cases data from 2006 to 2014 in Liyang city was obtained from infectious disease reported system, and the varicella emergency public cases were obtained from emergency public reporting system. The two systems were all from China information system for disease control and prevention. The population from 2009 to 2014 is from the permanent resident population in base information system in above system and statistical yearbook of Liyang. The number of children who injected of varicella vaccine was obtained from Childhood Information Management System of Jiangsu Province. The population of the children of the age from 0 to 3 years old is from the statistical yearbook of Liyang.According to the literature, the self-designed 'Varicella Cognition situation and Varicella Vaccination Intention Survey' structured anonymous questionnaire, including:the basic situation, varicella awareness,Vaccination willingness, the approach access to knowledge of two vaccines and the evaluation of two types of vaccines promotion so on.a total of 18 vaccination clinics in Liyang City, randomly selected 5 parents in each of the 6 age groups, which from 0 to 5 years,in each inpatient clinic, issued 540 questionnaires,a total of 535 copies were collected, the recovery rate of 99.07%.The epidemiological analysis data were directly derived from the above system, and the collected data were sorted out.The data were analyzed by EXCEL2010 and SPSS22 software. There are 10 questions about varicella knowledge in the questionnaire 'Varicella Cognition situation and Varicella Vaccination Intention Survey'.Every question has 3 alterative answers, including yes,no and unknown. The respondents chose only 1 answer. If they answered correctly, they could score 1.If they chose no or unknown, they scored 0.There are 10 scores totally. If they scored 8 or more than 8 points, they were aware of the varicella knowledge.Epidata3.02 software was used to establish the questionnaire database and performed double entry and logical verification. The data were analyzed by SPSS22 software. The numerical variables were analyzed by single factor analysis of variance. The variables were analyzed by chi-square test, varicella knowledge and factors influencing the willingness of varicella vaccination use single factor or multivariate logistic regression analysis. The test level is ? = 0.05.All tests were two-sided.Results:The incidence rate of varicella reported in Liyang City from 2006 to 2014 was 7.68/100,000 to 34.08/100,000 and the average annual incidence rate was 25.28/100,000,showing obvious characteristics of high prevalence in winter and spring. The peak incidence in spring was concentrated at May to June, the peak incidence of winter in December to the following year in January. In Lichen Town, the total number of case reports of 9 years and the number of annual reports are located in the city's first, the highest annual report is 43.03/100,000.Most cases suffered varicella were the subjects aged<15 years old.Among them,5 to 9 years of age group had the highest number of cases in the past 9 years, and the average incidence rate was 322.80/100 000,mainly primary school students(57.67%),followed by young child(21.65%)and scattered children(12.20%),and the sex ratio for men and women in varicella cases was 1.425:1.Liyang City, reported a total of 6 cases of varicella outbreak of public health events from 2006?2014,all concentrated in primary schools and kindergartens, the total 126 cases varicella outbreak, the average attack rate is 1.57%,of which 4 rural primary school,a city primary school and a rural kindergarten,5 cases occurred in May to June,1 case occurred in September. The vaccination rate of varicella vaccine among children aged 1?3 years in Liyang City from 2006 to 2014 was 11.83%?26.69%,and the average annual vaccination rate was 17.93%.The highest inoculation rate was in 2009,the lowest inoculation rate in 2006,and the inoculation rate decreased year by year after 2011.As regard to the varicella knowledge investigation, totally, there are 64 people(11.96%)answer the questions with completely correct, and women have a higher correct rate than men(?2=5.788,P=0.016).On average, the correct rate to answer the questions is 52.93%.The women's correct rate of 4 questions is higher than men(the values of P are all less than 0.05).The scores of women are higher than the man, according to the all respondents(F=8.737,P=0.009).The score of the population aged above the age of 50 is less the population of other ages(the values of P are all less than 0.05).The scores of the population of primary school and below and junior high school are lower than population of high school/vocational college/secondary education and the undergraduate/college group(the values of P are all less than 0.05).The score of the population of the high school/vocational college/secondary education is less than the undergraduate/college group(P<0.05).The parents ' score is higher than other relatives(F=21.810,P<0.0001).The scores of the parents of other districts in Changzhou city and other cities in Jiangsu province are higher than the other provinces(the values of P are all less than 0.05).The scores of the subjects whose income are lower than 3000 yuan and between the 3000 to 5000 yuan are lower than the income between 5001 and 10000 yuan group(the values of P are all less than 0.05).The multivariate logistic regression analysis was shown that the knowledge of varicella was affected by the gender of the parents and whether the parents or not.The survey shows that 85.05%of parents are willing to spend money on injecting varicella vaccine on their children However,if the varicella vaccine free, vaccination rate is increased to 89.72%.The patients with more varicella knowledge have a high willingness to spend money or to receive a free varicella vaccine for their children than that with little knowledge.Awareness of varicella knowledge is an important factor in the willingness to spend money or to receive the vaccine.Parents had various views of the promotion of the charged vaccine.Conclusion:1.Varicella epidemic in our city is prevalent. There is a clear incidence of peak in Li Town which the highest incidences of annual reports. The main incidence population is primary school students, especially in male.Children in primary school and child care institutions are susceptible to infect varicella and outbreak the sudden public health events.2.The city 1 to 3-year-old varicella vaccination rate is not high,a little lower than the national,Jiangsu Province and the surrounding city children vaccination rate level.3.The correct rate of varicella knowledge and awareness rate in Liyang city is not high. However, the gender, age and educational backgrounds will affect the varicella knowledge and awareness rate. Most parents are willing to spend money or free in injecting vaccination for their children. The degree of varicella knowledge whose patients mastered significantly affects their willingness for their children's varicella vaccination rate. The main ways for the parents to gain the information of the charge vaccine are by the medical staff, promotional materials for vaccination units and through mobile phone software Yumiaotong. The ways are consistent with the way parents wish to acquire knowledge.
