| Objective:Investigating the expression of aldehyde dehydrogenases 1(ALDH1)and CD44+/CD24-/low in triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)tissues and its relationship with prognosis of triple negative breast cancerMethods:Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the express of ALDH1 and CD44+/CD24-/low in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded(FFPE)tissue samples of triple negative breast cancer.Student t test and Pearson’s chi-square was used to analyze the expression of aldehyde dehydrogenases L(ALDH1)and CD44+/CD24-/low/low in triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)tissues and its relationship with prognosis of triple negative breast cancer. Results:The expression rate of ALDH1+in TNBC tissues was(14)46.67%,and the expression rates of CD44+/CD24-/low were(17)56.67%.The expression rate of ALDH1+,and the positive rate of CD44+/CD24-/low expression in non-triple negative breast cancer tissues was(5)16.67%,and(8)26.67%,respectively.The positive expression rates of ALDH1 and CD44+/CD24-/low in TNBC tissues were significantly higher than those in non-triple negative breast tissues. The local recurrence and distant metastasis rates of patients with CD44+/CD24-/low and ALDH1(+)group were significantly higher than those of other three negative breast cancer patients. Conclusions:Overexpression of ALDH1+and CD44+/CD24-/low in TNBC tissues is an independent risk factor for prognosis in TNBC patients, and is involved in the regulation of TNBC occurrence and prognosis. |
