Endothelial Expression And Its Significance Of Co-stimulatory Molecule B7-H3 In Colorectal Cancer

Objective To explore the endothelial expression and its significance of co-stimulatory molecule B7-H3 in colorectal cancer.Methods To collect 70 cases of colorectal cancer from surgical operation which were diagnosed by pathology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from August 2013 to May 2016.At the same time,30 cases of paracancerous tissues were selected as control group which were pathological diagnosed of normal colorectal tissue.The endothelial expression of VEGF and B7-H3 were detected by immunohistochemistry.The expression levels of co-stimulatory molecule B7-H3 and VEGF in vascular endothelial cells,and the correlation between the endothelial expression of B7-H3 and patients' gender and age,tumours' location,differentiation degree,Dukes' stage,lymph-node metastasis and distant metastasis were analyzed.Results VEGF has different endothelial expression in these two groups.The expression of VEGF was 2.90±0.55 and 6.93±2.48 respectively,and the differences were statistically significant(t=12.87,P <0.05).B7-H3 molecule almost has no endothelial expression in normal colorectal tissues,but has endothelial expressed in cancer tissues.The endothelial expression of B7-H3 was 0.47±0.86 and 5.86±2.43 respectively,and the differences were statistically significant(t=16.31,P <0.05).The endothelial expression of B7-H3 positively correlated with Dukes' stage,lymph-node metastasis and distant metastasis(P <0.05),but there relation to the age,gender,location and differentiation degree was not significant(P ? 0.05).The endothelial expression of co-stimulatory molecule B7-H3 was positively correlated with VEGF(r=0.65,P <0.05).Conclusion B7-H3 molecule has endothelial expressed in colorectal cancer.The endothelial expression of B7-H3 positively correlated with Dukes' stage,lymph-node metastasis and distant metastasis.And the expression of B7-H3 molecule in vascular endothelial cells has positively correlated with VEGF.The endothelial expression of B7-H3 might has significant correlation with angiogenesis in colorectal cancer.
