The MVC was associated with the patterns of microvessel ( P <0. 01). The MVC in tumor tissue with the diffuse pattern was high as 118.6 37.4. There was a significant correlation between VEGF expression and the presence of diffuse vascular pattern. The positive rate of VEGF in tumor tissue with the diffuse pattern (71. 0% ) was significantly higher than in cuffing pattern(6.45% ) or in mixed type (22.6%)(P<0.05).DiscussionThe positive rate of p53 and VEGF in colorectal carcinoma is 55. 9% and 45. 6% respectly . It is higher than that in normal tissue adjacent to lesion . we can make a conclusion that it can be a good target of chemotherapy. It may be clear from our study that the mutation of p53 will overgraduate VEGF which can impove angiogenesis in colorectal carcinoma.MVC is a good item which can indicate angiogenesis massage during the progress of tumor. The MVC in p53 or VEGF positive tumor was significantly higher than that in colorectal carcinoma out expression of p53 or VEGF( P <0. 05 ). It seems that p53 - VEGF pathway is associated with angiogenesis in colorectal carcinoma. In adition, we can see that the MVC was associated with the patterns of micro vessel ( P < 0.01). The MVC in tumor tissue with the diffuse pattern was high as 118.6 37.4. There was a significant correlation between VEGF expression and the presence of diffuse vascular pattern. The positive rate of VEGF in tumor tissue with the diffuse pattern (71.0% ) was significantly higher than in cuffing pattern (6.45% ) or in mixed type (22. 6%)(P<0. 05). A reasonable explain is due to the development of tumor vascular. There is a special area where HIF1 is activated, which will overgruduate VEGF and speed angiogenesis. There is a close relation between tumor angiogenesis and its growth and transfer. Many factors is involved in this procedure, in which VEGF is a most important factor. VEGF can impulse the construct and pattern of microvessels from our study followed with other reports in many fields. We can resonabaly make a possible conclusion that p53 - VEGF and angiogenesis pathway is associated with microvessel pattern in colorectal carcinoma.ConclusionWe have found such three microvessel patterns in human colorectal carcinoma as diffuse, cuffing and undetermined pattern. p53 and VEGF play a key rolein occurrence and development of colorectal carcinoma. The patterns of mi-crovessels may be associated whth p53 - VEGF pathway. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | p53, Vascular endothelial growth factor, colorectal carcinoma, Microvessel count, Microvessel pattern | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
