Objectives To develop a mental health education program and to use it in the postoperative health education of patients with preventive ileostomy. To evaluate the impact of health education on self-management behavioral ability,Discoloration,Erosion, and Tissue Overgrowth score, patient satisfaction and ileostomy closure. Methods The hospital ethics committee agreed to select from March 2014 to March 2016 in Dalian City,a three-level hospital colorectal cancer treatment base to receive preventive ileostomy in 104 patients. To avoid contamination, according to the type of patients admitted to the level of medical care to choose colorectal cancer treatment base of the four consistent level of the ward, the experimental group with two wards, the control group with two wards.According to the implementation of routine care group, the experimental group to implement thinking mapping intervention. At the time of discharge,1 month after discharge and 3 months after discharge, the self-management ability of the patients, the DET score, the satisfaction of the patients were evaluated at 3 months after discharge, and the end of the ileostomy closure was evaluated. Results Excluding the lost cases, finally 100 cases completed the study, the experimental group of 50 cases, the control group of 50 cases, the baseline is comparable.SPSS 22.0 were used for statistical analysis, the specific results are as follows:1.Repeated measurement of variance analysis showed that the overall self-care management ability score between the two groups was statistically significant(F=12.521,P=0.001).The time effect of total stoma self-management ability score was statistically significant(F=215.833,P<0.001).The interaction between time and grouping was also statistically significant(F=36.615,P<0.001).2.Repeated measurement analysis showed that the two groups of patients with the total score between the scores were statistically significant(F=6.101,P=0.012).The time effect of total score of the two groups was statistically significant(F=21.285,P<0.001).The interaction between evaluation time and grouping was also statistically significant(F=4.333,P<0.001).3.Two independent samples of rank sum test showed that the scores of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.001),satisfaction rate of the patients in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group.4.The Kaplan-Meier test showed that the stomatal closure outcome of the experimental group was not statistically significant compared with the control group(?2=1.092,P=0.296).Conclusion Health education for patients with preventive ileostomy can improve the patient's self-management ability, improve the skin condition around the stoma, and improve the patient's satisfaction with stoma care. The effect of mind mapping on stalemate closure remains to be further studied.
