Clinical Observation Of Senile Meniere's Disease Of Porifices Confused By Phlegm Type Treat With Jiawei Alismatis Decoction

Objective:The acute stage of Meniere's disease is characterized by rotatory vertigo,accompanied by severe nausea,vomiting,walking difficulties and other symptoms,which is frequently encountered and intractable.The disease is asily lead to serious consequence such as falls,fractures.There is no unified treatment scheme at home and abroad,western medicine to expand blood vessels,improve microcirculation,diuresis,sedation and other symptomatic treatment,but the effection is not very good.This study mainly observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Jiawei alismatis decoction in treating elderly patients with Meniere's disease(porifices confused by phlegm),hoping to provide a new treatment idea and drug combination of traditional Chinese medicine,and lay the foundation for further study and treatment of elderly patients with Meniere's disease.Methods:1.Randomized and single blind studies were used in this study.72 elderly pati ents with Meniere's disease were randomly divided into observation group(n = 36)and control group(n = 36).The control group was treated with betahistine mesylate tablets,while the observation group was treated with Jiawei alismatis decoctionin.Both of the groups of patients were treated for 14 day.2.Before and after the treatment,the observation group and the control group were scored with TCM syndrome scale,vertigo disorder scale(DHI)and visual analogue scale(VAS),and the data were analyzed with statistical software to compare the clinical efficacy of two groups.Results:1.There was no significant difference in TCM syndrome score between Observation group and control group before treatment(p> 0.05).The total effective rates of observation group and control group were 93.93 % and 80.64 % after treat ment,and the difference was statistically significant(p< 0.05).There was significant difference in TCM syndrome score between the two groups after treatment(p< 0.05).The scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups before and after treatment were statistically significant(p< 0.05).2.There was no significant difference in DHI scores between the two groups before treatment(p> 0.05).The differences of DHI scores between the two groups were statistically significant(p< 0.05).There were significant differences in DHI scores,between the two groups before and after treatment(p < 0.05).3.After treatment,the VAS scores of vertigo and stuffy-ear were significantly different between the two groups(p < 0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS scores between tinnitus and hearing loss(p > 0.05).Conclusion:The Jiawei alismatis decoction have obvious curative effection in treating senile Meniere's disease(porifices confused by phlegm),can relieve symptoms of effectively,like sttuffy-ear and vertigo,and the effection is better than that of the Betahistine Mesilate Tablets,have less adverse reactions and more safety.It can provide a new idea of dialectical treatment and drug selection for clinical treatment of Meniere's disease.
