Objective: To compare the hounsfield units of calcified lesions in vivo,in order to find the basis for the identification of calcified lesions by CT value, and to provide more help for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: 1.Wecollected the patients who did non-enhanced multislice spiral CT examination in Chenzhou First People's Hospital from October 2015 to September 2016.We found the calcification lesions by re ading the scans, then record their age, gender, location, size, average CT v alueand and regional CT value.By comparing the differences in CT values of calcified lesions with different properties in vivo, the differences in C T values between different sizes, the different parts of calcification and th e relationship between the CT value of the urinary calculi and the stone composition,we triedto find out the characteristics of various CT val ues of calcified lesions.Collect patient information from October 2015 to September 2016 for stone composition analysis,According to the hospital number to check the CT number and then CT value of the measurement, analysis of stone composition and CT value of the link between.2.The measurement data: We investigated the patient's CT images, set the system default window width, window position by a radiologist and a urologist.(windowing=220,Window Level=40).Then we selected the max imum cross-sectional area or the longest diameter of the calculus on the CT images, took this stratum as the region of interest(ROI),measure ROI calcification area and average CT value. The final result is the avera ge of the two physician measurements.3.Statistical analysis: SPSS18.0 statistical software was used to analyze the indexes.Measurement data using the mean ± standard deviation, the count data expressed in frequency. The data were compared between the two groups using independent sample t test, three groups and above between groups using single factor analysis of variance, multiple comparison using LSD method. The correlation analysis among the indexes was analyzed by pearson correlation coefficient method,P <0.05 was statistically significant. Results: All 5144 cases of calcified lesions were attributed to 8 cases of calcification,including166 gallstones cases(3.2%),198 intrahepatic calcification cases(3.8%),1200 intracranial calcification cases(23.3%),459 pelvic calcification cases(8.9%),245 prostate calcification cases(4.8%),2021 urinary calculi cases(39.3%),755 mediastinal lymph node calcification cases(14.7%),and 100 renal calcification cases(1.9%).The mean CT values of 8 different calcifications were : gallstones(391.29 ± 242.46HU),intrahepatic calcification(343.11 ± 110.70HU),intracranial calcification(215.89 ±75.56HU),pelvic calcification(378.48 ± 100.87HU),prostate calcification(333.07 ± 107.31HU),urinary calculi(574.12 ± 259.09HU),mediastinal lymph node calcification(621.15 ± 235.13HU),renal calcification(424.28 ±227.60HU).The mean CT values of different parts were compared by single factor analysis of variance. The results showed that the difference of mean CT values between different parts was statistically significant.8 types of calcification did the LSD test, there was no statistically significant difference between the mean CT values of pelvic calcification and gallstones(p = 0.483),there was no statistically significant difference between the mean CT values of benign prostate calcification and intrahepatic calcification(p = 0.602> 0.05),there was no statistically significant difference between the mean CT values of gallstones and renal calculi(p = 0.196> 0.05),the differences between the other groups were statistically significant(p<0.05).The correlation between the average CT value and the age line of calcified lesions was linearly correlated(p = 0.013),but the correlation coefficientr = 0.035,the correlation was not significant; The correlation between the mean CT value and the calcification length of the calcified lesions was linearly correlated(p<0.001),the correlation coefficient r = 0.63,and the correlation was moderately correlated. The average CT values of calcium oxalate stones, carbonate apatite, anhydrous uric acid stones, carbonated apatite + calcium oxalate stones, anhydrous uric acid + carbonate apatite were statistically analyzed by one-way ANOVA(P <0.01),There was no significant difference in the average CT value between calcium oxalate monohydrate calcium phosphate and magnesium phosphate hexahydrate phosphate, calcium carbonate, calcium oxalate + calcium oxalate and calcium oxalate(P> 0.05).Conclusion:1.The incidence of calcification in the human body from high to low are urinary calculi, intracranial calcification, mediastinal lymph node calcification, pelvic calcification, prostate calcification, intrahepatic calcification, gallstones, renal calcification.2.The mean CT values of urinary calculi, gallstones, intrahepatic calcification, intracranial calcification, prostate calcification, mediastinal lymph node calcification, renal calcification and pelvic calcification were statistically significant. The mean CT value of urinary calculi was significantly lower than that in mediastinal lymph nodes, but higher than other lesions.3.The longer the calcification long diameteris and the more the measured point is in the center of calcification, the higher the CT value is,which has a reference to clinical treatment.4.The range of mean CT values for the chemical composition of the three types of pure urinary calculi and four types of mixed urinary calculi were preliminary discussion.5.The CT values of non-enhanced spiral CT to determine the location of calcification in vivo and the nature of calcification in different parts, has a reference value in clinical.
