Correlation Analysis Of Elderly Patients With Hospitalized With Type 2 Diabetes And Anxiety/Depression Status

Objectives: Understand the occurrence of anxiety and depression in patients with hospitalized elderly with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus,and analysis of their related factors,in order to improve the hospitalized elderly patients with type 2 diabetes to provide reference for clinical treatment of mental health.Methods: We randomly selected the patients with type 2 diabetes in the Hunan Provincial People's Hospital endocrine ward in September 2016 to March 2017 according to the order of the doctor,and to evaluate eligible patients by Hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS).We collected the patient's medical records and the general situation,and carried on statistical description to analyze the basic situation of our study objects.We then calculated the crowd's incidence of anxiety and depression.We analyze the relationship in patients with hospitalized elderly with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus between whether anxiety or depression and the factors of personal characteristics,way of life,health,biochemical indicators,which to explore the factors associated with anxiety and depression's occurrence.Result:(1)We surveyed 188 patients with hospitalized elderly with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus,accounting for 75.81% of the total population survey,60 adult patients with type 2 diabetes,accounting for 24.19% of the total population survey.A total number of 248 patients with type 2 diabetes,of which 101 patients with anxiety or depression,accounting for 40.73% of the total population survey,147 patients have no anxiety nor depression,accounting for 59.27% of the total population survey.(2)Patients with hospitalized with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with free medical payment methods most(57.66%),all at his own expense proportion of patients with the lowest(19.36%),Elderly patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus are more emphasis on diabetes health education(50.53% vs28.33 %)than adult patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.The elderly patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus group and adult patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus group anxiety and depression scores,anxiety scores were 8.19±5.59,7.08±4.76 points,depression scores were 8.59±5.67,7.60±5.00 points.(3)Elderly patients with type 2 diabetes anxiety and depression single factor analysis.Our results showed that the factors that affect the incidence of elderly patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with anxiety and depression were as follows have statistically significant difference(P < 0.05): gender,medical payment method,attach importance to education,types of diabetes complications,age,course of the disease,fasting blood glucose,triglyceride,body mass index,glycosylated hemoglobin 1,insulin,C-peptide etc.While smoking,physical activity levels,types of diabetes complications,Uric Acid,in affected anxiety and depression have no significant difference(P > 0.05).(4)The hospitalized elderly patients with type 2 diabetes suffering from anxiety and depression multi-factor analysis showed: independent risk factors for the development of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes with anxiety and depression may be: gender,medical payment method,the type of diabetes complications,age,course and C-peptide.Conclusion:1.Hospitalized elderly T2 DM patient psychological status is poorer,there may be more severe state of anxiety and depression.2.Influence the hospitalized elderly patients with type 2 diabetes occurrence of anxiety and depression of the following factors shall be early prevention,early screening and give necessary psychological therapy in time: the gender,age,medical payment method,attach importance to education,body mass index,the course of the disease,types of diabetes complications,fasting blood glucose triglyceride,glycosylated hemoglobin 1,insulin,C-peptide etc.3.Hospitalized elderly patients with type 2 diabetes have anxiety or depression maybe affected directly by gender,medical payment method,types of diabetes complications,age,course and C-peptide.
