The Influence Of Electroacupuncture On The Patients With Coronary Heart Disease And Abnormal Post-exercise Heart Recovery

Objective:To investigate the influence of electroacupuncture on the cardiopulmonary function and the quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)who had abnormal heart rate recovery in 2min(HRR2)after cardiopulmonary exercise test(CPET)and explore its mechanism by detecting the heart rate variability(HRV).Methods:We selected 110 patients with abnormal HRR2(HRR2 after CPET<42times/min)and CHD.They were diagnosed by coronary angiography and assigned into the electroacupuncture group(n=55)and the control group(n=55)randomly.The former received the health guidance,medication administration and electroacupuncture treatment for 12 weeks(to select HT7 and PC6,retaining the needles for 30mins per time,5 times one week),coinciding with the same intervention methods except electroacupuncture given to the latter.We assessed the resting heart rate(RHR),HRR2,peak oxygen uptake(peak VO2),anaerobic threshold(AT),peak ventilation(peak VE),peak power(peakPower),HRV(LF,HF,LF/HF,SDNN)and score of SF-36 by the CPET,HRV detection and concise health questionnaire at the pre and post intervention,comparing their distinction.Results:We oberserved the siginificant improvement in the electroacupuncture group,of the indexes(RHR,HRR2,peak VO2,AT,peak Power,HRV)and the score of 6 dimensionalities in SF-36 statistically following 12-weeks intervention(p<0.05).However,the same outcomes were not shown in the control group(p>0.05).There were also siginifant differences of the results in statistics(p<0.05)between 2 groups except peak VE and 2 dimensionalities in SF-36(p>0.05),emotional function(RE)and mental health(MH).Conclusions:Electroacupuncture can improve the HRR,HRV of the patients with abnormal HRR2 and CHD.Meanwhile,it can also dramatically enhance the cardiopulmonary function and life quality of the patients.
