Objective: To investigate the status and related factors of job burnout,and investigate the status of occupational well-being,search for applicable methods to reduce job burnout and get more happiness.Methods : 1.A total of 512 medical staffs among 12 psychiatric hospitals in Jiangsu province were investigated with Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI),the Occupational Well-being Scale,Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and Basic Personal Q uestionnaire,using stratified cluster random sampling.2.The trend variation of three job burnout dimensions along with the age are studied by collecting and analyzing relevant literatures from 2004 to 2015.Results: 1.Among the surveyed people,83.44% were reported as moderate-to-severe emotional exhaustion,88.68% were reported as moderate-to-severe depersonalization,96.02% were reported as low occupational efficacy,49.27% had no sense of occupational well-being.2.In the EE dimension of job burnout,there was a significant difference of different age,education,health condition and interest in ps ychiatry.By using the correlation analysis,we found that EE dimension was positively correlated with negative coping,education background(r=0.19,P<0.01;r=0.10,P<0.05),and was negatively correlated with age,working years,physical condition and interest in psychiatry,leadership,salary,promotion,colleagueship,motivation,self-worth and organizational identification(r=-0.11,P<0.05;r=-0.10,P<0.05;r=-0.20,P<0.01;r=-0.20,P<0.01;r=-0.15,P<0.01;r=-0.23,P<0.01;r=-0.10,P<0.05;r=-0.15,P<0.01;r=-0.17,P<0.01;r=-0.28,P<0.01;r=-0.17,P<0.01).3.In the DP dimension of job burnout,there was a significant difference of different positions,employment systems,marital status,physical condition,interest in psychiatry and hospital level(P<0.05).By using the correlation analysis,we found that DP dimension was positively correlated with negative coping(r=0.22,P <0.01),and was negatively correlated with professional titles,physical condition,interest in psychiatry,leadership,salary,promotion,colleagueship,motivation,self-worth and organizational identification(r=-0.10,P<0.05;r=-0.20,-0.24,-0.23,-0.29,-0.25,-0.22,-0.21,-0.29,-0.22,P<0.01).4.In the PA dimension of job burnout,there was a significant difference of different professional titles,interest in psychiatry and hospital level.PA dimension was positively correlated with positive coping(r=0.12,P<0.05).Occupational well-being was positively correlated with positive coping(r=0.20,P<0.01).5.The results of multiple linear regressions showed that physical condition,working years,education background,job interest and coping style,self-worth,salary,promotion and colleagueship were influence factors of job burnout among psychiatric doctors and nurses.6.There was no significant correlation between job burnout and history(r=-0.532?-0.536;-0.621,P>0.05).Conclusion: Medical stuff burnout among psychiatric hospitals is wide spread and is serious in Jiangsu Province,and they have low occupational happiness.The main influencing factors of Job interest include individual factors and organization factors.For individual factor it include job interest,physical condition,coping style,working years and education background;For organization factor it include salary,self-worth,promotion and colleagueship.To reduce job burnout,comprehensive evaluation and intervention should be carried out in the aspects of individual,hospital management and society,etc.
