| Objective:To evaluate the value of ultrasonography in the intestinal duplication diagnosis and differential diagnosis in children.Methods: 28 cases of Ultrasound diagnosis of intestinal duplication from October 2014 to November 2016 in Anhui province children's Hospital were reviewed.The characteristics of ultrasonic images were observed,and the results were compared with surgical and pathological results.Results: All cases were confirmed by pathology after operation.For 25 cases with intestinal duplication in children,misdiagnosed in 1 case and other 2 cases of diagnosis were not clear,need further differential diagnosis.The lesion was located in small intestine in 19 cases,colon in 5 cases,and jejunum in 1 case.The shapes of lesions were as follows: cystic mass in 18 cases,tubular type in 4 cases,and intraluminal mass in 3 cases.Secondary changes: 8 cases of intussusception,5 cases of intestinal obstruction,4 cases of infection,2 cases of volvulus and bowel necrosis,and 1 case of intestinal perforation.1 case was misdiagnosed as intestinal obstruction caused by intestinal cystic type of intestinal duplication,which was proved to be foreign bodies in digestive tract(rubber ball)with intestinal obstruction after post-operative pathology.Of the 2 cases,which were not clearly identified,there were 1 patients who were considered as cystic type of intestinal duplication in the ileocecal valve,which was confirmed as the mesenteric cystic after post-operative pathology,the other case was considered as tubular type of intestinal duplication or Meckel's diverticulum,which was proved to be Meckel's diverticulum in post-operative pathology.Conclusion: Ultrasound diagnosis of intestinal duplication in children is low cost,strong specificity,no radiation,strong operability,the low rate of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.Therefore,ultrasonography can be used as the preferred method in preoperative diagnosis,differential diagnosis and postoperative review of intestinal duplication in children. |
