Objective: To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of brain AVM and aneurysms in children, and to find out the general characteristics and clinical features of these cases. Objective to compare the imaging features of patients with cerebral AVM and aneurysms, and to understand the advantages and disadvantages of various imaging methods,so as to provide the diagnosis basis for clinical further application. Methods: a total of 39 children with cerebral AVM and 11 patients with cerebral aneurysms were collected. The general data and clinical data of 50 patients were analyzed.Among them, there were 16 males and 23 females in brain AVM,males and 2 females, and 9 females, respectively. The ratio of male to female was 0.22:1.There is no significant difference in sex and age distribution between the children's brain AVM and the patients with aneurysms.25 patients with brain AVM and 9 patients with aneurysms underwent CT or MRI scan(scan or enhancement)after admission. In AVM,4 patients underwent DSA,18 underwent CTA and 3 underwent MRA examination.3 of them underwent DSA and 7 underwent CTA.Results: ?.AVM clinical manifestations of 25 cases of headache, vomiting in 26 cases,21 cases of disturbance of consciousness,8 cases of epilepsy,3 cases of limb weakness, slurred speech in 2 cases, ataxia in 2 cases,2 cases of traumatic aneurysm history;clinical manifestations of 4 cases of headache, vomiting in 5 cases,3 cases of disturbance of consciousness,4 cases epilepsy,1 cases of limb weakness, slurred speech in 1 cases, ataxia in 0 cases,3 cases of traumatic history,no significant differences between the clinical features of the two.?.Patients with AVM,25 had cerebral hemorrhage(100%),and 4 had 7 intracerebral hemorrhage(57.14%).AVM main lesions located in the cerebral lobes in 15 cases(60%),7 cases of cerebellum(28%),3 cases of basal ganglia, corpus callosum(12%);7 cases c AN lesions were located at the bifurcation of the cerebral artery and the branches of the trunk.?.AVM: 18 routine CTA examination,16 cases showed abnormal vascular mass(88.89%);3 cases underwent MRI and MRA showed no lesions;4 cases of skull DSA examination showed lesions.Aneurysm: 7 cases underwent CTA examination,6 cases showed(85.71%);3 cases were showed by head DSA examination.?.maximum density projection(Maximum intensity, projection,MIP)and volume rendering(volume rendering,VR)of the artery aneurysm aneurysm neck,as well as the AVM artery, nidus and display the venous drainage had no significant difference.Conclusions:?.Bleeding in the brain is very common with aneurysms in AVM,especially in AVM.AVM occurred in brain lobes seen in middle cerebral artery territory;aneurysm occurs in the anterior cerebral artery, cerebellar artery, basilar artery and its branches.?.3D-CTA plays an important role in the diagnosis of AVM.It is more intuitive than DSA in showing hemorrhage or calcification, but it can not completely replace 3D-DSA.MIP display of fine details of blood vessels, small branches showed the best;VR stereoscopic 3D display for the relationship of blood vessels and adjacent structures, two kinds of postprocessing method combined with AVM can improve the diagnostic rate of aneurysm.
