OBJECTIVE:To investigate the stability and adsorption of 4 common injections administered by PVC and TPE disposable infusion sets.METHODS:The 4 common injections,including ciprofloxacin lactate sodiumchioride,levofloxacin lactate sodium chloride,levofloxacin sodium chloride,and tropisetron sodium chloride,were filled and sealed in,or flew through the disposable infusion sets.Samples were collected as acheduled,ciprofloxacin,evofloxacin and tropisetron were determined by HPLC method.The stability of ciprofloxacin,levofloxacin,tropisetron and adsorptivity of PVC and TPE disposable infusion sets were evaluated.RESULTS:The contents of ciprofloxacin lactate sodium chloride,levofloxacin s odium chloride,levofloxacin lactate sodium chloride and tropisetron sodium chl oride injections in PVC and TPE disposable infusion sets were 94.56%,98.77%,98.35%,100.33%and 101.04%,100.08%,99.68%,101.14%,respectively.No signifi cant differences were observed(P>0.05),and indicated that the injections were stable at these conditions.The adsorptivities of PVC and TPE disposable infusi on sets to ciprofloxacin,levofloxacin,tropisetron,also presented as percentages,were 100.34%,100.38%,101.09%,99.42%and 100.59%,101.76%,102.14%,101.19%,respectively.No significant difference was observed(P>0.05),and indicated th at the PVC and TPE disposable infusion sets have no adsorptivity to ciproflox acin,levofloxacin and tropisetron.CONCLUSIONS:The injections were stable at above experimental conditions and PVC or TPE disposable infusion sets have no adsorble effects to ciprofloxacin,levofloxacin and tropisetron.
