Objective :In the process of women pregnancy, beacause of the influence of estrogen and the same time in order to meet demands of fetal growth and development, the level of body lipids(total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol)will appear physiological increased, and the increasing is more obviously in Obese pregnant women [1].The study of See-Ling Loy [2] show in obesity, under the combined effect of the disorder of lipid metabolism, oxidative stress levels in your body will significantly increased, excessive generation of free radicals, especially reactive oxygen species(ROS),and ROS can lead to DNA fracture, site mutation, double chain distortion and other diseases, caused by different degrees of DNA damage [3].And the DNA damage caused by increased oxidative stress levels is closely related to spontaneous abortion, premature rupture of membranes, and fetal distress obstetric and neonatal diseases [4].However,in the domestic and foreign, there is a lack of analyze the correlation between serum lipid levels and DNA damage and the level of total antioxidant capacity among obese pregnany women [2,5],according to the existing research. Therefore, the study of maternal serum lipids and DNA loss and the correlation between total antioxidant levels, may be through the intervention of blood lipid levels and other aspects to prevent the role of adverse events in pregnancy. To explore the change of lipid concentrations of pregnant women and the association of lipid concentrations between pregnant women and newborns. Methods: Healthy pregnant women(n=120)who accepted system obstetrics examination in our hospital between August 2011 and August 2012 were recruited. All the pregnant women were divided into normal weight group(n=45)and obese group(n=75).The levels of lipid profile,DNA damage and TAC levels of two groups were compared and analyzed, and the Correlation between lipid profile levels and DNA damage and TAC levels were analyzed. Results: Compared to normal weight group, obese group showed significantly higher levels of TC(P=0.001),TG(P=0.001),and LDL-c(P=0.004),but a lower level of HDL-c(P=0.006).The DNA damage and TAC level of obese group were obviously higher than those of normal weight group(P=0.000,P=0.000).The DNA damage was positively correlated with levels of TC,TG and LDL-c among obese pregnant women(r=0.23,P=0.026;r=0.26,P=0.008;r=0.19,P=0.032),and TAC level was positively correlated with TG level(r=0.32,P=0.000).Conclusion:Dyslipidemia,imbalance of prooxidant and antioxidant status always occur to obese pregnant women. The DNA damage is positively correlated with levels of TC,TG,and LDL-c among obese pregnant women, and TAC positively correlated with TG level.
