Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy,long-term efficacy and recurrence rate of Su-lung Spleen Decoction on Deficiency Syndrome both in Lung and Spleen of children with cough variant asthma.Methods:60 children with cough variant asthma on Deficiency Syndrome both in Lung and Spleen were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. The two groups were given health education, the treatment group to give Su-lung Spleen Decoction 150 ml pertime,2 times a day oral after meal;the control group given budesonide powder inhalant,200 ug pertime,2 times a day.Two drugs were taken 8weeks.In the course of clinical research, the two groups did not take the same or similar to the role of Su-lung Spleen Decoction Chinese herbal medicine, proprietary Chinese me-dicine.Before and after the treatment, the two groups were treated with pulmonary ventilation function and bronchial provocation test, and the cough symptom score,T-CM syndrome score and safety observation index were recorded, including general physical examination items, renal blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, liver and kidney function and clinical adverse reaction,Adverse events, etc.Evaluation of the efficacy of Su-lung Spleen Decoction by statistical analysis of those records.A-fter the end of the treatment, the two groups were excluded cough effect was invalid cases, followed up for 3 months and recorded cough symptom score and recurrence rate. Results:Curative effect evaluation:(1)Compared with the therapeutic effect and scores of cough symptom of the treatment group, the difference is statistically significant.(2)Comparison of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome: the total effective rate of 90.00% in the treatment group, the control group was 73.33%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.(3)Cough symptoms were compared: the total effective rate was 86.67% in the treatment group and 90.00% in the control group;the difference was not statistically significant.(4)Comparison of efficacy of cough after 3 months follow up: the total effective rate was 76.67% in the treatment group and 50.00% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant.(5)Recurrence rate comparison: the recurrence rate was 11.54% in the treatment group and 37.04% in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups.(6)Before and after treatment, the difference of pulmonary function between the two groups was statistically significant. There was no signifi-cant difference in PEF and PD20FEV1.0 between the two groups after treatment,bu t the differences of FEV1.0 and FVC were statistically significantSafety evaluation: During the course of treatment, the two groups of children have no abnormal changes in general physical examination, blood routine, urine routine, regular fecal, liver and kidney function and other items, nor clinical adverse reactions.Conclusion:(1)Su-lung spleen drink in improving cough variant asthma in children with TCM syndrome,long-term efficacy and reduce the recurrence rate, better than budesonide powder inhalant;(2)Su-lung Spleen Decoction in improving cough variant asthma in children with cough symptoms is not inferior to budesonide powder inhalants.(3)Su-lung Spleen Decoction can effectively improve the indicators of lung function of children with cough variant asthma. Its function of reducing airway hyper responsiveness and improving PEF level is not inferior to budesonide powder inhalants, but in improving the levels of FEV1.0 and FVC,German powder inhalants has more advantages.
