Influence Of CT Value On The Efficiency Of Flexible Ureteroscopy With Holmium Laser Lithotripsy

Objective:Evaluate the effect of Hounsfield unit(HU)value to the efficiency of flexible ureteroscopy with holmium laser lithotripsy.Methods:From September 2014 to December 2016,a total of 98 cases of renal calculi in our hospital were collected,from which We selected the 72 patients with similar stone sizes and localization,and their preoperative HU value were measured.According to the HU value above 1000HU(> 1000HU),or below 1000HU(1000HU),patients were divided into two groups.Then the operative time,complications,and the Stone-free(SF)status at postoperative 3 months were compared between the two groups.Results:The age or male to female ratio or the stone size between the low HU group and the high HU group had no statistical significance(P > 0.05).The operative time of the two groups(82.2±13.4)min and(113.2±13.1)min,respectively,which had statistical significance(P<0.001);the incidence of complications 5% and 14.7%,respectively,which had no statistical significance(P =0.334);SF at postoperative 3 months 94.7% and 91.1%,respectively,which had no statistical significance(P = 0.955).Conclusion:Preoperative measurement of stone HU value,could be a indicator of assessment to the flexible ureteroscopy with holmium laser lithotripsy time,lithotripsy efficiency,then to help the urologists to grasp the difficulty and the risk of surgery.
