| Objective:Respectively observe expressions of human β-defensin(hBD)-2,3,4 in different classification of chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)and normal nasal mucosa and differences betweet groups to discuss the intrinsic relationship between defensin and adaptive immunity and to analyze its roles in the development of CRS,which may reveal the effect on assessment of CRS’ state and therapeutic effect and add objective evidences for etiologic study of CRS.Methods:The specimens were mainly collected from March 2015 to December 2015 at ENT in Fenyang Hospital affiliated to Shanxi Medical University and divided into three groups: 15 cases of normal control group,30 cases of CRS without nasal polyps group and 30 cases of CRS with nasal polyps group were taken to observe the expression of hBD-2,3,4 protein by immunohistochemical staining.Results:1.Expressions of hBD-2,3,4 could be found in all classification of CRS and normal nasal mucous,the differences among three groups was statistically significant(P< 0.05).Expressions of hBD-2,4 in CRS with nasal polyps group was higher than CRS without nasal polyps group while that in normal nasal mucosa was lowest.Expression of hBD-3 in CRS with nasal polyps group was higher than normal group while that in CRS without nasal polyps group was lowest.2.Immunohistochemical staining showed that hBD-2 expressed in caryon.There was positive expression in glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells in normal control group,glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells and inflammatory cells in CRS without nasal polyps group,vascular endothelial cell 、 glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells and inflammatory cells in CRS with nasal polyps group.Hbd-3expressed in cytoplasm.There was positive expression in glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells in normal control group,glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells and inflammatory cells in CRS without nasal polyps group,glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells in CRS with nasal polyps group.Hbd-4 expressed in cytoplasm.There was positive expression in glandular epithelial cells in normal control group,glandular epithelial cells and vascular endothelial cell in CRS without nasal polyps group,glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells in CRS with nasal polyps group.Conclusion:1.Expressions of hBD-2,4 in CRS with nasal polyps group was higher than CRS without nasal polyps group while that in normal nasal mucosa was lowest and expression of hBD-3 in CRS with nasal polyps group was higher than normal group while that in CRS without nasal polyps group was lowest,which might be associated with hormone suppressing its expression.It might be considered that expressions of hBD-2,3,4 in nasal mucosal immune defense system were inducible,at the same time they could also express in normal nasal mucosa tissue.2.HBD-2,3,4 mainly expressed in glandular epithelial and mesenchymal cells and inflammatory cells. |
