Objective:To analyze the association between the genetic variations of bone morphogenetic protein7(BMP7)gene with metabolic syndromein Taiyuan Han population.Methods:According to epidemiological survey based on case-control study method,this study selected during from April 2016 to January 2017 were enrolled from Shanxi People's Hospital outpatient and inpatient department patients.The people with the metabolic syndrome are 90 cases and the normal people are 83 cases,who wereTaiyuan Han population.Choose the representative of rs6025422 and rs17480735 loci in the gene pool of NT 011362.11 and use the application of SNaPshot-PCR gene in theselectedpopulation identifing thegenes.Results:1.The Hardy-Weinberg balance test showed that the distribution of rs6025422 genotype AA,GG,AG and the distribution of rs17480745 genotype AA,GG,GA are in accordance with the balanceof Hardy-Weinberg(P>0.05).The selected population without selectivebias.2.The case group and control group in gender,serum creatinine,urea nitrogen and UA have no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).The difference between the two groups in age,LDL-C,BMI,WHR is statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups about genotypes of rs6025422 is significant(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference in genotype of rs17480745(P<0.05).3.The MetS as the dependent variable,and the age,BMI,genotype of rs6025422,LDL-C,WHR as Logistic multi factor regression analysis of independent variables.We find that age,genotype of rs6025422 and LDL-C enter the regression equation,and the age and LDL-C a re risk factors of MetS(age,OR=1.090,95%CI:1.056-1.126,P=0.001;LDL-C,OR=1.648,95%CI:1.094-2.484,P=0.049).The genotype of rs6025422 in GG is a protective factor for MetS(OR=-0.995,95%CI:0.179-0.763,P=0.018).Conclusions:1.The present study shows that rs6025422 polymorphism in BMP7 gene is linked metabolic syndromein Taiyuan Han population.2.Age and LDL-C are risk factors of metabolic syndrome in Taiyuan Han population,and the GG genotype of rs6025422 mutation is a protective factor of metabolic syndrome in Taiyuan Han population.
