Background: Peripheral arterial disease(PAD)is a serious health hazard, high disability rate and high mortality rate disease. With the aging of the population and diet changes,PAD has become a global malady. In addition to changing the way of life, strict smoking cessation and the application of drugs and other conservative treatment, the surgical treatment is an important treatment.Related technology continues to progress, endovascular treatment of PAD application and indications more and more widely, and compared with traditional surgical treatment, endovascular treatment has low trauma, high repeatability and other advantages.However,in-stent restenosis(ISR)and other issues are increasingly prominent, more and more people pay attention.drug-coated balloon(DCB),drug-eluting stent(DES)and other emerging technologies to the emergence of intracavitary treatment to solve ISR and reduce the re-operation of the trauma. Objective: So as to provide some references for the clinical treatment of PAD better by endovascular treatment review current research in the treatment of PAD.Methods: In “peripheral arterial disease, lower extremity artery disease, femoropopliteal arterial disease, endovascular treatment, interventional therapy,drug-coated balloon,drug-eluting stent,in-stent restenosis” and other keyword search to find out the related research of the endovascular treatment of PAD,at the same time the related research of ISR.Result and conclusion: There are a large number of literatures on PAD endovascular therapy. The results of these studies suggest that endovascular therapy is the first way to treat PAD at present;traditional intracavitary therapy has a high ISR;DCB and DES are designed to solve the ISR in the way of intervention, the treatment effect than the traditional cavity treatment was significantly improved, but there are still many problems to be solved.
