Objective To investigate the situation of the severe cases in children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71.Through the analysis of clinical characteristics of children in the normal group and severe group at an early stage,to study risk factors for the severe cases. For early identification of the severe, and establishing appropriate treatment plans, reduceing incidence of disability provided clinical evidence. To improve nursing of the severe enterovirus 71 clinical characteristics of early stage of infantile viral encephalitis, and establish simple evaluation standard, detect the variations of disease. Methods Retrospective study on method.Use self-designed questionnaire and select the cases that admitted to hospital within 72 h of enterovirus 71 type of medical diagnosis and treatment of infantile viral encephalitis in the affiliated hospital of Qingdao University and women and children's Hospital from December in 2014 to November in2016.Compared between the two groups in general information, clinical manifestations, signs and laboratory indicators of change. The significant related influencing factors(P<0.05)were collected in the multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results The study collected 62 cases of the Severe group, and 125 cases of the Normal group. The incidence of severe for 187 cases of hospitalized patients is 33.16%(62/187).1.In general information, compared with the normal group, the morbidity of children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71 in men and in the rural, were significantly higher in the severe group(P <0.05).The severe group set at 3 years of age.2.In Clinical symptoms and signs, compared with the normal group, the incidence rate ofvomit, convulsions, body shakes of children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71 at an early infantile, were significantly higher in the severe group(P <0.05).Compared with the normal group, the temperature more than 38? duration(h)and the highest axillary temperature(?)of children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71 at an early infantile, were significantly higher in the severe group(P <0.05).3.In laboratory tests, compared with the normal group, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, fasting plasma glucose, creatine kinase isoenzyme MB of children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71 at an early infantile, were significantly higher in the severe group(P <0.05).4.Logistic regression results suggest that the temperature more than 38 ? duration(h),body shakes, pathological symptoms, fasting plasma glucose, white blood cell count were risk factors for the severe children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71.Conclusion1.The signs and symptoms of the severe cases in children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71 at an early infantile include vomit, convulsions, body shakes, creatine kinase isoenzyme MB,pathological symptoms, temperature more than 38? duration(h)and the highest axillary temperature(?)?white blood cell count?neutrophil count?fasting plasma glucose.2.The nurse should strengthen the clinical care of the severe younger children with viral encephalitis of enterovirus 71 with body shaking, pathological symptoms, fasting blood glucose, white blood cell count increases, the high fever does not return. And reduce the incidence of the severe.
