Objective: To study the effects of Chinese-Tibetan medicine compound Huwei powder on the expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor(b FGF)in gastric mucosal tissues of rats with acute plateau and its mechanism. Methods: To choose 350 healthy and clean Wistar rats, male and female sex half, which were randomly divided into 7 groups,of which,50 rats in each group: including the Beijing group(50 rats)and the acute plateau groups(including the Xi-ning and the Maduo groups,a total of 300 rats){Xi-ning group(elevation of 2260 m)and Maduo groups(elevation of 4270 m)};Of which,Xi-ning group(set up a group of 50 rats)and Maduo groups(set up five groups,a total of 250 rats)set blank control group, positive drug group, low, middle and high dose groups of Huwei powder. The experimental rats of Beijing group,Xi-ning group and Maduo blank control group were given equal volume of normal saline, the positive drug group was treated with Jing Huaweikang capsules solution{2.4 g(positive drug content)?kg-1(rat's body weight)},the low, middle and high dose experimental groups' rats of Huwei powder respectively given test solution 2.6 g(crude drug content)?kg-1,5.2 g(crude drug content)?kg-1,10.4 g(crude drug content)?kg-1,the above groups rats were administered in the form of gavage. The each group gastric mucosal tissues of the experimental rats was respectively taken in the experimental 1 d,2 d,3 d,5 d and 7 d,and the levels of VEGF and b FGF in gastric mucosa were detectived by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)method. Results: The experimental results showed that the levels of VEGF and b FGF also increased in the gastric mucosal tissues of rats with the increase of altitude and the extension of time, especially on the third day of rapid injury, and the ratio of VEGF and b FGF significantly increased. The levels of VEGF and b FGF in gastric mucosal tissues of acute plateau groups' rats were significantly higher than those in Beijing group. The Chinese-Tibetan medicine compound Huwei powder effectively increased the expression levels of VEGF and b FGF in the gastric mucosal tissues injury of acute plateau rats(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01),and improved rats' associated clinical symptoms and manifestations. Conclusion: 1.The Chinese-Tibetan medicine compound Huwei powder can effectively improve the expression contents of VEGF and b FGF in the gastric mucosal injury of rats in the acute plateau, and it plays an important role in the process of healing and repair of acute gastric mucosal lesions.2.The Chinese-Tibetan medicine compound Huwei powder can effectively improve the acute high altitude body's mucosal lesions related to clinical symptoms of T.C.M,and it has an important and positive role and significance in the prevention and treatment work of the body's acute gastric mucosal lesions disease in the plateau and high altitude areas.
