Objective: In this research,we want to discuss the expression differences of Omi/HtrA2 and XIAP protein between gastric carcinoma tissue and normal gastric tissue,and to investigate the clinical significance of these two proteins by clinicopathologic features.in human gastric carcinoma,and to reveal the correlation between these two proteins.Methods: We collected 60 gastric carcinoma cases during October,2013 and March,2016 in the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University.All of the cases were recorded with complete clinical information,surgically removed without preoperative chemotherapy and radiotherapy,confirmed by pathological results,paraffin-embedded and saved in good condition.And 40 cases of normal gastric tissue were collected as control group.The immunohistochemical technique was used to detect the expression of Omi/HtrA2 and XIAP.Results:1 The expression of Omi/HtrA2 in gastric carcinoma tissue and normal gastric tissue and the correlation analysis between clinicopathological features and Omi/HtrA2 in gastric carcinoma.The expression of Omi/HtrA2 in gastric carcinoma tissue(80.0%,48/60)was higher than in normal gastric tissue(7.5%,3/40)(P <0.05).The positive expression of Omi/HtrA2 protein in gastric carcinoma had nothing to do with gender,age,tumor size and mucosa invasion(P>0.05).While the positive expression of Omi/HtrA2 protein was higher in well differentiated gastric carcinoma(95%,19/20)than that in moderate-poorly differentiated carcinoma(72.5%,29/40),and was higher in lymphatic metastasis negative group(96.3%,26/27)than that in lymphatic metastasis positive group(66.7%,22/33).The positive rate was 92.9%(26/28)in TNM ?+? stage and68.7%(22/32)in TNM ?+?.According to the statistic analysis,there were significant differences among each group(P<0.05);2 The expression of XIAP in gastric carcinoma tissue and normal gastric tissue and the correlation analysis between clinicopathological features and XIAP in gastric carcinoma.The expression of XIAP in gastric carcinoma tissue(75.0%,45/60)was higher than in normal gastric tissue(10%,4/40)(P < 0.05).The positive expression of XIAP protein in gastric carcinoma had no correlation with gender,age,tumor size,mucosa invasion and TNM stage(P>0.05).Beside these,the results showed that the positive expression rate of XIAP protein in moderate-poorly differentiated gastric carcinoma(87.5%,35/40)was higher than that in well differentiated carcinoma(50.0%,10/20),and was higher in lymphatic metastasis positive group(90.1%,30/33)than that in lymphatic metastasis negative group(55.6%,15/27).According to the statistic analysis,there were significant differences among each group(P<0.05);3 The correlation analysis of expression between Omi/HtrA2 and XIAP in gastric carcinoma.The correlation coefficient of Omi/HtrA2 and XIAP protein is r=-0.314(P<0.05).The expression correlation between Omi/HtrA2 and XIAP was negative.Conclusions:1 Immunohistochemical positive expression of Omi/HtrA2 were significant different between normal gastric tissue and gastric carcinoma tissue,which showed that Omi/HtrA2 maybe had something with occurrence of gastric carcinoma.The expression of Omi/HtrA2 was associated with differentiation degree,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage of gastric carcinoma.2 Immunohistochemical positive expression of XIAP were also significant different between normal gastric tissue and gastric carcinoma tissue.The expression of XIAP was associated with differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis of gastric carcinoma.The high expression of XIAP in gastriccarcinoma showed that gastric carcinoma had a more malignant biological behavior and a higher chance of lymph node metastasis.3 There was significant negative correlation between the expression of Omi/HtrA2 and XIAP.
