Objective:To observe the clinical effect for patients with calcified lumber disc herniation in percutaneous full-endoscopic interlaminar approach. Methods:From August 2014 to November 2016,fifteen patients with calcified lumber disc herniation treated by percutaneous full-endoscopic interlaminar approach underwent follow-up for six months. These parameters were recorded such as the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, intraoperative complication, postoperative recurrence, hospital stays and so on.Follow-up examinations were conducted at 1 day,3 months,6 months after operation which consisted of oswestry disability index(ODI)and visual analogue scale(VAS).The clinical outcomes were evaluated by the modified Macnab criteria at 3 months after operation. All patients underwent Lumbar vertebra side film, computed tomography(CT)scan and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),which were performed at pre-operative and post-operative periods. Results:All operations were successful, and all patients received follow-up care. The mean operative time was 88 min(range from 71 to 101 min).Surgical bleeding was not obvious, and intraoperative complications had not occurred. All cases had not recurred since the follow-up to now.The mean post-operative hospital stay was 2.5 days(range from 2 to 3 days). The pre-operative oswestry disability index scores were 82.5±5.0 points, which espectively decreased to 27.1±3.4,24.1±3.5 and 22.4±2.5 points at 1 day,3 months and 6 months after operation, and they had statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The pre-operative visual analogue scale scores were 7.8±0.7 points, which espectively decreased to 2.5±0.7,2.0±0.5 and 1.5±0.5 points at 1 day,3 months and 6 months after operation, and they had statistically significant differences(P<0.05).According to the modified Macnab criteria, there were 12 excellent cases,2 good cases,1 fair case and 0 poor cases after 3 months of follow-up care, and the excellent and good rates were 93.3%.Additionally,imaging showed that calcified lumber disc herniation were removed in all patients. Conclusion:The percutaneous full-endoscopic interlaminar procedure for patients with calcified disc herniation presents obvious short-term clinical effect, less bleeding, shorter operation time, fewer complications and quicker postoperative recovery. |
