ObjectivesTo explore the relationship between the main components of metabolic syndrome and bone mineral density.Methods1.We selected 247 patients who have taken the BMD test from November 2014 to November 2016 in Fujian Provincial Hospital.According to the difference of BMD,we divided the whole subjects to two group, the OP group, and the NOP group. Then retrospective analyses were conducted, including the general data, biochemical indicators, and bone mineral density. And then compare the difference between the OP group and the NOP group. And then analyze the association between the main components of metabolic syndrome and bone mineral density, and the effects of those factors on the BMD.2.According to the criterion of MS,the whole subjects were divided into the MS group and the NMS group, and analyze the difference about BMD and BMC in the two groups.3.According to the age, sex,BMI,the level of TG,HDL-C,BP and fasting blood glucose,we divided the subjects into several subgroups, and compare the difference between the subgroups.Factors of OP were analyzed by the logistic regression analysis.Results1.Among the 247 subjects, the OP group were 123(43were males,80 were females),the NOP group were 124(42 were males,82 were females). The following factors were difference in the OP and NOP groups, including age,SBP,FPG,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,ALP,L1-4 BMD,L1-4 BMC,FN BMD,FN BMC(P<0.05,or P <0.01).2.(1)247 subjects were divided into several subgroups.According to the age, with the increasing of age,the proportion of osteoporosis was higher than before, and there were difference in those subgroups;(2)Compared to the non-hypertension subgroup, the proportion of osteoporosis was higher in the hypertension subgroup;(3)The proportion of osteoporosis was higher in the hyperglycemia subgroup, comparing to the non-hyperglycemia subgroup;(4)According to the level of serum lipid, there was higher proportion of osteoporosis in high TG,low HDL-C group.3.L1-4 BMD was negatively associated with age,sex,SBP,FPG,TG,TC,LDL-C(spearman correlation coefficient R=-0.304?-0.126?-0.204?-0.129?-0.366?-0.125?-0.212;P<0.05);L1-4 BMD was positively associated with HDL-C(spearman correlation coefficient R 0.278,P<0.01).L1-4 BMC was positively associated with HDL-C and CREA(spearman correlation coefficient R 0.129?0.247;P<0.05);L1-4 BMC was negatively associated with age,sex,SBP,TG,TC,LDL-C,P(spearman correlation coefficient R=-0.275?-0.394?-0.139?-0.256?-0.134?-0.145?-0.221;P<0.05);FN BMD was positively with BMI(spearman correlation coefficient R=0.203,P<0.01);FN BMD was negatively associated with age, sex,SBP,FPG,TG,TC,ALP(spearman correlation coefficient R=-0.365?-0.257?-0.181?-0.134?-0.164?-0.131?-0.254;P<0.05).FN BMC was positively associated with BMI,UA,CREA(spearman correlation coefficient R=0.252?0.316?0.392;P=0.000),and was negatively associated with age, sex,ALP,P(spearman correlation coefficient R=-0.259?-0.639?-0.256?-0.155;P<0.01).4.In the binary logistic regression analysis, age and LDL-C were risk factors,BMI and HDL-C were protective factors.Conclusions1.High level of LDL-C is a risk factor of osteoporosis, and high level of HDL-C is a protective factor of osteoporosis.Maybe,it can be benefit to those people,if they take lipid-lowering therapy.2.The proportion of osteoporosis were higher in hypertension, and hyperglycemia subgroup.3.BMI has a positively correction with BMD,and it also a protective factor of osteoporosis.4.Age is a risk factor of osteoporosis, and with the growing of age,the proportion of osteoporosis was higher than before. So,it maybe benefit to patient,if we take active actions in the treatment of osteoporosis.
