Objective:To research the effect and mechanism of fibular osteotomy(FO)in the knee osteoarthritis compared with unieom partmental knee arthroplasty(UKA).Methods:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the trial,65 patients were followed up from July 2014 to March 2016 in Shanxi People's Hospital.According to the surgical method,the patients with FO were divided into the observation group(n=31)and the patients with UKA were divided into control group(n=34).The dates compared between these two groups include: a.age;b.the operative time;c.peri-operative bleeding;d.hospitalization time;e.hospitalization expenses;f.WOMAC,HSS,and KSS of each patient were compared between observation group and control group before and after operation(3,6 months).Results:All patients were followed up for 12 months successfully.Intragroup comparison:There is a same change trend in observation group and control group that HSS score,WOMAC score and KSS score 3 months and 12 months after operation were significantly improved compared with the scores before operation,the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Intergroup comparison:in the following 4 data including operation time,bleeding,medical cost and hospitalization time,observation group had better performance,the control group was unsatisfactory,the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:For the treatment of medial compartment KOA,the clinical effect of fibula osteotomy is close to unieom partmental knee arthroplasty while the fomer is a promising and worthy spreading operation method with lower treatment cost,less surgical trauma and faster postoperative recovery.
