Originated in America in the 1960 s,Service Learning is a citizen education mode that combined community service with academic instruction and structured reflection in such a way that students develop professional skills and citizen qualities,meet community needs.In recent years,service learning has been vigorously promoted in many countries around the world,especially in Canada,Japan,Singapore and Hong Kong,Taiwan in China.Closely integrated students' internships with professional disciplines,service learning is constantly showing charm and glory in educational system.At present,China is reforming the path of training clinical medical talents that integrates postgraduates education with professional degree in clinical medicine with standardized resident training.At the same time,the reform emphasizes the importance of humanity education of postgraduates with professional degrees in clinical medicine by added professional responsibility consciousness,doctor-patient communication,medical ethics,laws and regulations in talent selection and assessment.With the qualitative development of postgraduates education with professional degrees in clinical medicine,this paper combines the theoretical and the empirical research to investigate the possibility and effectiveness of service learning mode in humanity education of postgraduates with professional degrees in clinical medicine and provide a new perspective for education reform of postgraduates with professional degrees in clinical medicine.There are four parts in this paper.The first part explores the essence of service learning in humanistic quality education based on the meaning and characteristics of service learning and the formation law of humane quality.The second part expounds the demands of service learning mode in humanity education of postgraduates with professional degrees in clinical medicine and put forward the plan for creating service learning mode in quality education of postgraduates with professional degrees in clinical medicine.The necessity is embodied from two aspects: undesirable situation of humanity education of practical medical talents and reformational requirements of raining clinical medical talents.The third part applies service learning in clinical training of postgraduates with professional degrees in clinical medicine in Chongqing Medical University.The last part is concluding which contains limitations and expectations.
