A Retrospective Analysis Of 23 Cases Of Non-hodgkin?s Lymphoma Of Pharynx And Larynx

ObjectiveTo summarize the incidence,clinical features,diagnostic points and the reason of misdiagnosis of patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL)of pharynx and larynx,to provide some experiences and clinical basis for the early diagnosis and treatment of this disease.MethodsThe clinical data of 23 cases of non-Hodgkin?s lymphoma of pharynx and larynx who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from 2013 to March 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.ResultsThe ratio of male to female was 1:1.3.Mean age 56.96.Mean duration 3.83 months.20 cases(86.96%)derived from B cells,3 cases(13.04%)derived from T cells.The most common clinical manifestations were pharyngalgia and abnormal sensation of throat(15/23 65.22%),the second is neck neoplasm(5/23 21.74%).The high risk for the first time:17 cases were in tonsil(73.91%),3 cases in nasopharynx(13.04%),3 cases in root of tongue(13.04%).20 cases in A group,3 cases in B group.17 cases(73.91%)have more than once treatment,6 cases(26.09%)biopsy have more than once biopsy to make a definite diagnosis.4 cases were given the chemotherapy,2 cases got PR,2 cases got SD;1 case was given chemotherapy + radiotherapy,got CR.3 cases used local surgery.ConclusionThe non-Hodgkin?s lymphoma of pharynx and larynx clinical manifestations is not specific,early manifestations is similer to pharyngitis and laryngitis,asked the detailed medical history? physical examination?laboratory examination and imaging examination are contribute to diagnosis and differential diagnosis,but the rate of misdiagnosed is still high,so we shouid take measures to improve the early diagnosis and treatment level.Systemic treatment with radiation and chemotherapy is given priority to the disease,can have a good prognosis,but whether the surgery is necessary is inconclusive.
