The Research Progress Of Treatment For Axillary Osmidrosis

The odor associated with axillary osmidrosis is caused by the oxidation and hydrolysis of ?-3-methyl 2-hexenoic acid secreted by the apocrine sweat gland which exists on axilla.The pathogenesis mechanism remians unclear.Currently the secretion of the E-3M2 H in the sweat glands is regulated by apolipoprotein D(Apo D)is considered to be the main pathogenesis mechanism of axillary osmidrosis.During the processing,Such factors as hormone,bacterial,gene and food involved in the occurrence and development of axillary osmidrosis.According to varying degrees of smell,the patients can be graded.In recent years,there are many therapies reported in the literature at home and abroad,including topical drug therapy,therapy with physical instrument,surgical therapeutic methods.Each procedure is replete with its own particular advantages and disadvantages.Now,there is still no effective,minimally invasive,recovery quickly and cosmetic treatments of axillary osmidrosis.This paper reviewed the research progress of axillary osmidrosis in recent years.
