Objective:Examine the association of Ankle Brachial Index(ABI)with sarcopenia in Chinese hospitalization old patients. Methods:We classified the participants into sarcopenia/non-sarcopenia groups based on DXA,muscle strength(grip strength)or/and physical performance(6-m usual gait speed). Results:The ABI was significantly lower in patients with sarcopenia(P<0.01).Multiple binary logistic regression analysis showed that ABI was independent risk factors for hand grip(OR=3.242,P<0.02)and gait speed(OR=2.612,P<0.008).There were no significant associations between ABI and ASM/H2.Conclusion:Grip strength and gait speed were significantly associated with ABI,ABI may reflect the muscle function of sarcopenia.
