Objective: To comparatively investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of congenital biliary dilatation. Methods: Clinical data of children with congenital biliary dilatation hospitalized in the Pediatric surgery department of Huxi Hospital Affiliated to Jining Medical University(the Pediatric surgery department of Central Hospital of Shanxian County)were collected from Jan.2010 to Dec.2012,and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the different surgery.Patients in the observation group were treated with laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery and those in the control group with traditional open surgery. The mean operation time, intraoperative blood loss, parenteral nutrition time, extubation time, length of hospital stay, treatment effect, and postoperative complications of the two groups were summarized and analyzed.Statistical scores were employed in the comparative analysis and clinical efficacy was objectively, actually and accurately evaluated. Results: Laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery offered advantages in the treatment of congenital biliary dilatation with less blood loss and significantly reduced risks of postoperative anastomotic fistula, bile leakage, loop obstruction and other complications. After laparoscopic surgery, the children recovered quickly, and the length of hospital stay was shortened, with more concealed incisions and smaller scars. In the present study, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery and conventional open surgery were compared in the treatment of children with congenital biliary dilatation and it was found that the operation time of the observation group was prolonged compared with that of the control group;the blood loss, parenteral nutrition time, drainage time, and the mean hospital stay of the observation group were significantly decreased compared with the control group, with statistically significant differences(p<0.05);and the difference in the proportion of patients with postoperative complications between the control group(36%)and the observation group(11.1%)was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with open surgery, although it is time-consuming,laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of congenital biliary dilatation can significantly reduce blood loss and the time for drainage and hospital stay, with faster recovery and lower postoperative complication recurrence rates, which promotes the rehabilitation process of children with favorable prognosis as well as significant clinical efficiency, making it worthy of active application and promotion.
