Objective Study on the expression level of serum MicroRNA-499(miR-499)in new onset heart failure(new-onset heart failure,NHF)patients before and after treatment,compare mi R-499 serum leves with different NYHAs,assess its relevance with N terminal B type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)and left ventricular ejection fraction(left ventricular ejection fraction,LVEF),to evaluate the significance of miR-499 serum levels in heart failure,in order to determine the extent and prognosis of heart failure and to guide treatment more accurately.Methods Subjects: Patients who were diagnosed new onset heart failure and treated in our hospital from January,2016 to December,2016 with a total of 30 cases,moreover,grouping performed according to the New York heart Association(NYHA)functional class.And compared with 30 healthy patients(the same age as study group)as a control group at the same time.By using the method of fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR,the expression level of serum miR-499 was detected before and after all the individual treatment,comparison of new onset heart failure group and the control group.The serum mi R-499 expression level differences,assess its relevance with NT-proBNP and LVEF in order to investigate the value of serum levels of miR-499 in the evaluation and prognosis of heart failure.Results The level of serum miR-499 in patients with HF was significantly higher than that in healthy control group(P<0.05),and the expression level was decreased after treatment.The serum miR-499 level was positively correlated with NT-proBNP and negatively correlated with LVEF.There was no correlation between the changes of miR-499 content and the characteristics of the studied cases(P> 0.05).In addition,the receiver operatingcharacteristic curve(ROC)analysis showed that mi R-499 had definite myocardial specificity and sensitivity in the diagnosis of HF,but the diagnostic value was not better than that of NT-proBNP.Conclusion The expression level of serum miR-499 in patients with new onset heart failure was significantly increased,which may be a potential biochemical marker for early diagnosis of heart failure,but it is not superior to NT-proBNP in the diagnosis of HF.
