Objective Vitamin D plays a very important role in the human body, and there are multiple biologic effects. In recent years we found that low vitamin D levels can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, hypertension and obesity, while the coronary heart disease is the most world's common diseases, therefose the purpose of this study is to investigate wherther the 25-(OH)D levels is associated with coronary artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods We included a total of 183 suspected inpatients who hospitalized in the department of cardiology of the the People's Hospital of Qinghai Province from January 2015 to September 2016,including 103 males and 80 females, all patients underwent coronary angiography.male or female, average age was 66.76±6.53 years.Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels were measured in all patients before coronary angiography.According to the stenosis of coronary artery, all of the patients were split into coronary artery stenosis group and coronary artery normal group, there were 107 cases of coronary artery stenosis,58 males and 49 females with an average age of 66.47±6.38 years, and there were 76 cases of normal coronary artery group,45 cases of male and 31 cases of female, the average age of 67.17±6.76 years old.then do statistical analysis. Results There were no statistical significance differences between two groups of sex?age ?total cholesterol?triglyceride?high-density lipoprotein?systolic blood pressure and diastoic blood pressure(p>0.05),while there were statistical significance differences between two groups of low-density lipoprotein ? 25-(OH)D levels(p<0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between serum 25-(OH)D levels and coronary artery stenosis(Gensini score),and there was no correlation between low-density lipoprotein levels and coronary artery stenosis(Gensini score).differences between the groups were significant.(P<0.05).Conclusions Serum 25-(OH)D levels were obviously associated with coronary artery stenosis.Serum 25-(OH)D clould be user as anther important risk factor for coronary heart disease, except for the risk factors for coronary heart disease.
