Objective: To evaluate the severity of carotid artery stenosis and the compensatory situation of Willis circle in Xining area by 3.0T MR,and to analysis the relationship of cerebral infarction.Methods: 117 patients in Xining area with carotid plaque was collected and got the head and neck MRI,that was divided into control group and cerebral infarction grou p.The situation of the two groups' carotid plaque and Willis circle were comp ared and analyzed including the location of carotid plaques and the degree of stenosis in MRI,the specific classification and the integrity of Willis circle and the blood vessel display and variation.Results: 1.There was no significant difference between the cerebral infarction group and the control group(P> 0.05).The carotid bifurcation plaques most,accounted for 50% in cerebral infarction group and 48.07% in control.2.As carotid plaques cause different degrees of stenosis of the blood vessels,th ere was significant difference between cerebral infarction group and control gro up(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in integrity rate of anterior ci rculation,posterior circulation and complete Willis circle(P> 0.05).3.In cerebral infarction group,a mutation rate of Willis circle is 80.39%,the integrity rate of anterior circulation,posterior circulation and complete circulati on of Willis circle was 62.75%,27.45%,and 19.61%,there were significant differences with the control group(P<0.05).4.The mutation rate of ACA-A1 in the cerebral infarction group and control gr oup was 14.70% and 6.06%,there was significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05),but the displaying rate of ACo A and PCo A in the cerebral i nfarction group was 74.51% and 54.90%,there was not significant difference c ompared with the control group(P >0.05).Conclusion: The incidence rate of cerebral infarction was affected by different degree of stenosis of carotid artery in the patients with carotid plaque.In addition,the i ntegrity rate of Willis circle in cerebral infarction was lower and the compensa tion of ACo A and PCo A were not significant,but the mutation rate of A1 wa s slightly higher than that in normal person.
