Objective: In order to understand the MCP-3 and microvessel density(MVD)labeled by CD34 protein levels in skeletal muscle of patients with DM/PM,and to investigate the expression of MCP-3 in muscle tissue of patients with DM/PM and its relationship with MVD and analysis the significance in DM/PM,so as to further explore the pathogenesis of DM/PM.Methods: The expression of MCP-3 and MVD were detected in 10 cases of DM,10 cases of PM and 20 cases of controls(from healthy people with simple department of orthopedics trauma)by using immunohistochemical Envision two step method. The results were statistically analyzed by SPSS 21 statistical software. Results: The positive expression rates of MCP-3 in DM group and PM group respectively were 60% and 50%,and there was significant difference compared with the control group(5%)(P<0.001).The microvessel marked by CD34 could be seen in muscle tissue of DM group and PM group, and the MVD of DM group and PM group were higher than the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in the level of MCP-3 and MVD in the muscle tissue between the DM group and the PM group(P>0.05).The correlation between MCP-3 protein expression and MVD in the muscle tissue of DM group and PM group were positively correlated(r=0.749,P=0.013;r=0.771,P=0.009).Conclusions: It suggested that the muscle tissue of DM/PM patients may have a new blood vessel formation,MCP-3 may be involved the formation process of new blood vessels in DM/PM.
