Objective: This study observe the comparison of Governor Meridian-regulating and liver-nourishing combined with rehabilitation training and traditional body acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training, aim to confirm clinical effects of the Governor Meridian-regulating and liver-nourishing combined with rehabilitation training on post – stroke balance dysfunction which evaluated by the Berg balance scale(BBS),the Barthel index(BI)and the BBS efficacy, and to investigate the superiority of this therapy, try to provide a practical, efficient and comprehensive therapy for the clinical treatment of post-stroke balance dysfunction. Methods: 64 patients with post-stroke balance dysfunction accordance with the diagnostic criteria of Chinese and Western medicine and inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups according to random number table method. The treatment group(n=32)was treated by the Governor Meridian-regulating and liver-nourishing combined with rehabilitation training, and the control group(n=32)was treated by traditional body acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training.Implementation Method1 Basic treatmentAll patients in two groups were treated by conventional neurology treatment, basic drug therapy.Basic drug therapy includes symptomatic treatment and supportive care, regulate blood pressure, blood glucose, maintain the balance of water,electrolytes,acid-base balance, improve cerebral circulation and apply the brain metabolic activators et al.2 Rehabilitation trainingAll patients were treated by rehabilitation training, including trunk muscle strength training, posture control training, motion control training and so on,once a day, every time 40 minutes,5 times per week for 8 weeks.3 The treatment group received Governor Meridian-regulating and liver-nourishing combined with rehabilitation training.Acupoints: Shenting(GV 24),Baihui(GV 20),Yamen(GV 15),Dazhui(DU 14),Xinshu(BL 15),Ganshu(BL 18),Shenshu(BL 23),Shenmen(HT 7),Taixi(KI 3),Taichong(LR 3),Zhiyang(GV 9),Mingmen(GV 4),Quchi(LI 11),Houxi(SI 3),Zusanli(ST 36).Operation: chose Hua Tuo brand 30,1 ~ 1.5 inch disposable needle to operate, all acupoints were wiped 3 times to disinfection by 75% alcohol cotton balls, the points retention of needle for 20 min,one time per day,5 times per weeks for 8 weeks.4 The control group received traditional body acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training.acupoints: Shuigou(DU 26),Neiguan(PC 6),Jiquan(HT 1),Chize(LU 5),Weizhong(BL 40),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Huantiao(GB 30),Zusanli(ST 36),Yanglingquan(GB 34),Yinlingquan(SP 9),Taichong(LR 3),Fengshi(GB 31).Operation: chose Hua Tuo brand 30,1 ~ 1.5 inch disposable needle to operate, all acupoints were wiped 3 times to disinfection by 75% alcohol cotton balls, the points retention of needle for 20 min,one time per day,5 times per weeks for 8 weeks.Results1 The comparison of general situation32 patients in treatment group, aged between 45 and 74 years and the mean age was 60.03 ± 7.88 years;disease duration between 2 weeks and 2 months and the mean duration was 4.85 ± 1.59 weeks;32 patients in control group, aged between 45 and 75 years and the mean age was 58.090 ± 8.04 years;disease duration between 2.5 weeks and 2 months and the mean duration was 4.76 ± 1.82 weeks. The t test showed that there was no significant difference on the age and duration of disease between two groups(P>0.05).In the treatment group(n=32),19 cases were male accounting for 59.4%,13 cases were female accounting for 40.6%;in the control group(n=32),17 cases were male accounting for 53.1%,15 cases were female accounting for 46.9%.The ?2 test showed that there was no significant difference on the proportion of men and women between two groups(P>0.05).Therefore,two groups have the same baseline consistent in the age, duration, gender, which is comparable.2 Comparison of BBS scores before and after treatment between two groupsT text: There was no significant difference on balance function before treatment between two groups(P>0.05),with comparable. There was significant difference on BBS scores between before and after treatment in two groups(P<0.05),which indicated that both two therapies can improve balance function. There was significant difference on BBS scores after treatment between two groups(P<0.05),which indicated that the improvement of balance function in treatment was superior to that in control group.3 Comparison of BI before and after treatment between two groupsT text: There was no significant difference on BI before treatment between two groups(P>0.05),with comparable. There was significant difference on BI between before and after treatment in two groups(P<0.05),which indicated that both two therapies can improve ability of daily living(ADL).There was no significant difference on BI after treatment between two groups(P<0.05),which indicated that improvement of ADL of the two treatments was similar.4 Comparison of BBS efficacy between two groupsThe results of rank sum test(T=2.024,P=0.043<0.05)showed that the curative effect in treatment group was superior to that in control group.Conclusions1 Both therapies can increase the ADL in patients with post-strokebalance dysfunction.2 Both therapies can improve balance function and balance ability of stroke patients, but the effect of Governor Meridian-regulating and liver-nourishing combined with rehabilitation training is superior to the traditional body acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training.3 The Governor Meridian-regulating and liver-nourishing combined with rehabilitation training give priority to regulating Governor Meridian, give consideration to nourishing liver, has exact effect on the treatment of post-stroke balance dysfunction, which indicate this therapy is a characteristic therapeutic regime on post-stroke balance dysfunction.
