Objective: To establish a model of silicone imitated uterus for evaluating the dispersion laws of levonorgestrel.Methods: Applied silicone as the main component of imitated uterus to build the model and placed certain dose of levonorgestrel in a body cavity.Put the models in the incubator at 37 ° C for 30 days and 60 days.Afterwards,sliced from the side walls of the phantom cavity within 10 mm intervals from both sides.Placed the model silicone slices which weigh 15 g on both sides within the central axis of the slices and put them in anhydrous ethanol solutions.Measured the absorbance of LNG in the solution after 24 hours.Results: The model of silicone imitated uterus was completely transparent,whose texture was uniformed.Placed the mold 30 days and 60 days later,the concentrations of LNG contained in each group were statistically significant(P<0.01).The concentration of LNG gradually decreased as the increase of distance,and the decreasing trend matched linear laws.Conclusion:(1)The establishment of the model of the silicone imitated uterus is transparent and physical and chemical properties of stability,which be use as an experimental platform for intrauterine release system.(2)The concentration of LNG in the model of the silicone wall is linearly attenuated.
