Objectives 1 To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation in the treatment of thyroid nodules.2 To compare the efficacy of percutaneous injection of polyglycol injection in the treatment of thyroid cystic nodules and cystic nodules and microwave ablation. Methods 1 On the hospital by fine needle aspiration biopsy pathology identified as thyroid benign nodules in 80 patients with 98 nodules under ultrasound guided percutaneous microwave ablation therapy.Treatment of thyroid function before routine examination and routine ultrasound and calculate the nodule volume,to determine the safety of the needle after the path of thermal ablation. The nodular volume was measured at 1,3,6,9,and 12 months after operation and the nodal volume reduction rate was calculated. The postoperative curative effect and complication were analyzed.2 A total of50 patients were diagnosed with thyroid cystic nodules by ultrasonography.A total of 50 patients were treated with polymethanol sclerotherapy(26 simple thyroid nodules and 24 solid thyroid cysts).A total of 45 patients were diagnosed as thyroid cystic or cystic nodules by microwave ablation(simple cystic nodules 17 and cystic nodules 28).The above two groups of patients were preoperative fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology was diagnosed as benign nodules, and no other systemic diseases. The tumor volume was measured at 1,3,6,and 12 months after operation and the nodal volume reduction rate was calculated. The curative effect of two kinds of treatment on thyroid cystic nodules and cystic nodules was analyzed. Results 1 The results showed that there was significant difference between the two groups at different time points(P <0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The cure rate was 79.6% after 12 months, the effective rate was 18.36%,the inefficiency rate was 2.1%,the total effective rate was 97.96%.There were no significant changes in thyroid function before and after treatment(P> 0.05).Complications occurred during the treatment and recovered at different times.2 The cure rate of thyroid cystic nodules was 92.31% and 94.12% respectively. The difference of cure rate between the two groups was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).The cure rate of cryopreserved group and polyglycol group was 85.71% and 58.33% respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05).The complications of the treatment process, were restored at different times after surgery,no long-term complications. Conclusions 1 Ultrasound guided percutaneous microwave ablation in the treatment of thyroid nodules with high feasibility, significant effect, less complications, clinically,it can be used as thyroid benign nodules preferred treatment.2 Ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation and polyglycol injection can be used in the treatment of thyroid cystic nodules and cystic nodules, but the effect on microwave ablation of solid nodules is higher than that of polyglycol injection treatment.
