The Correlation Between ECG Results,Medication And Quality Of Life Of Children With CHD After Surgery

ObjectiveChildren with congenital heart disease were chosen to complete the quality of life questionnaire investigation when they reviewed ECG after surgery.According to the pathological type of CHD,different ECG results and medication,all cases were divided into several groups.Each group was analyzed with statistical method.The correlation between children's ECG results,medication and their quality of life(QOL)were investigated.Methods1.Investigation and measurmentThe PedsQLTM Family Information was used for demographic data.The Pediatric Generic Sore Scales(PedsQLTM4.0)and PedsQLTM3.0 Cardiac Modules were used for QOL.ECG was traced with Nihon Kohden ECG-1550 P and analyzed with Nalon ECG analysis software.2.Data capturingAccording to the standard,Children with CHD after surgery were chosen with adopting random sampling method.The age was 5-18 years old.Researcher provided questionnaires to them.Then children and their parents finished the questionnaires on their own.3.Data processingThe database was built with SPSS.The original scale was inspected and checked.It was used the PedsQLTM system standard scoring method,caclulated the score of each dimension and the aggregate score of each scale.The sex,age,state and medication were statistical described.In addition,described the marital status,educational level and family economic status of parents.4.Statistical methodsThe statistics software was SPSS 13.0.General data was showed by descriptive statistical analysis.Measurement data was expressed in mean±standard deviation(sx ±).The score of each group was compared.The methods were one way ANOVA and Post-hoc analysis.Results1.The general informationThe QOL score of children's sex,age,age at operation,preparer,parents' education,career and economy of their family had no significant differences(p>0.05).2.Pathological typeIn PedsQLTM3.0 Cardiac Modules Children's reports,the scores of symptom dimension and treat anxiety dimension between Acyanotic group and Cyanotic group had significantly differences(p<0.05);there were no significantly differences in perceptivity,cognitive psychological problems,communication and aggregate score(p>0.05).In Parents' reports,the score of treat anxiety dimension had significantly difference(p<0.05);the other four dimensions and aggregate score had no significantly differences(p>0.05).In PedsQLTM4.0 Generic Sore Scales,the score of physiological function dimension had significantly difference(p<0.05);there were no significantly differences in emotional function,social function,role function and aggregate score(p>0.05).3.Four groups of different ECG resultsAccording to ECG results after surgery,cases were divided into Almost normal group,Ventricular hypertrophy group,Ischemic changes group and Block group.In PedsQLTM3.0 Cardiac Modules Children's reports,the scores of symptom dimension and aggregate score between four groups had significantly differences(p<0.05);there were no significantly differences in perceptivity,treat anxiety,cognitive psychological problems and communication(p>0.05).In Parents' reports,the scores of symptom dimension and treat anxiety dimension had significantly differences(p<0.05);and there were no significantly differences in perceptivity,cognitive psychological problems,communication and aggregate score(p>0.05).In PedsQLTM4.0 Generic Sore Scales,the scores of emotional function and social function dimension had significantly differences(p<0.05);the scores of physiological function and aggregate score had obvious significantly differences(p<0.01);there was no significantly difference in role function(p>0.05).4.PedsQLTM3.0 Cardiac Modules---Medication.The aggregate scores of each different Pathological type and different ECG results had no significantly differences(p>0.05).Conclusions1.The QOL of children with Acyanotic CHD after surgery was better than that with Cyanotic CHD.2.The ECG results was more close to the normal range,the QOL of children was better.According to the ECG results,doctors can estimate the QOL of children preliminarily.It has some reference effect for clinical medicine and follow-up treatment.Parents can conveniently and easily know the living conditions of their children.This conclusion plays a positive role in each aspect of children's recovery.3.The influence of Medication on the QOL was not obvious.
