Objectives:Objective to investigate the value of diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)in the diagnosis and treatment of intramedullary spinal cord tumorsMethods:Imaging examination was performed on 7 patients with intramedullary spinal cord tumors. The project includes routine MR scan,3D scan and DTI of spinal cord, and diffusion tensor tractography(DTT)is needed.Equipment is 3.0T MRTRIOTIM scanner(Siemens),using NUMARIS/4 syngo software version MRB15 postprocessing workstation for postprocessing, calculating the average diffusion coefficient and relative to the lesion of normal cervical spinal cord(Average Diffusion Coefficient ADC),fractional anisotropy(Fractional Anisotropy FA)value. We combine the clinical observation of the effect with the results of the examination and treatment plan.We will observe the postoperative recovery of the patients and evaluate the diagnostic value of the tumor.Results:1 patients underwent surgical treatment, and the treatment effect was satisfactory. The lesion location was consistent with the DTI results. The rest of the patients decided not to operate temporarily after the doctor explaining the risk of surgery, would be followed up regularly.Conclusion:(1)DTI imaging technique can be used to evaluate the diffusion of water molecules in non invasive tumors.(2)The FA and ADC values of the intramedullary spinal cord tumors were significantly higher than that of the normal spinal cord.(3)DTI can directly show the morphological changes of the white matter tracts in the cervical spinal cord disease, which is helpful for the diagnosis of intraspinal occupying lesions.
