Objective: To investigate the relationship amongd Childhood asthma control test and Pulmonary ventilation function in asthmatic children with different age groups. Methods:Asthmatic children aged from 4 to 11 years were recruited during their regular visit to our hospital, between May 2015 to May 2016.Totally 164 asthmatic children were enrolled with the mean age of 8.43±2.08 years old, including 99 boys and 65 girls, and 80 children aged from 4 to 6 years old,and 84 aged from 7 to11 years old.Children and their Parents were asked to complete the C-ACT,Then,the lung function was measured with the help of the specialist doctor.Totally asthmatic children at the acute episode were given C-ACT score and Pulmonary function test(PFT)before treatment and after treatment 6 months. The correlation between C-ACT with FEV1%,PEF% and MEF50% were analyzed.Result:(1)Before treatment,in the younger group,C-ACT scores were 15.7±2.41,FEVI%,PEF% and MEF50% were 52.1±11.47,51.4±10.91 and 58.3±16.04;then C-ACT scores correlated with FEV1%,PEF% and MEF50% were 0.174,0.274 and 0.241,and P were 0.061?0.151 ? 0.121,P>0.05,the difference were not statistically significa nt.In the older group,C-ACT scores were 15.6±2.44,FEVI%,PEF% and MEF50% were51.33±10.92,52.1±12.29 and 59.2±16.33;C-ACT scores correlated with FEV1%,PEF%and MEF50% were 0.341,0.392 and 0.412,P were 0.010,0.021 and 0.008,P<0.05,the difference were statistically significant.(2)After 6 months treatment,in the younger group,C-ACT scores were 22.3±2.39,FEVI%,PEF% and MEF50% were 73.5±16.38,71.8±12.17 and 78.5±15.16;And C-A CT scorcs correlated with FEV1%,PEF% and MEF50% were 0.183,0.263 and 0.250,a nd P were 0.082?0.141 ? 0.132,P>0.05,the difference were not statistically significa nt.In the older group,C-ACT scores were 22.8±2.54,FEVI%,PEF% and MEF50% were77.95±16.91,75.52±16.53 and 77.4±19.26,C-ACT scores correlated with FEV1%,PE F% and MEF50% were 0.352,0.402 and 0.432,P were 0.011,0.019,and 0.005,P<0.05,the difference were statistically significant.C-ACT scores and FEV1%,PEF%,MEF50% at post-treatment for 6 months were significantly improved compared with pre-tre atment, the difference were statistically significant. Conclusion: As a method of assessing, asthma control situation, childhood asthma control test is more suitable for tthe older group(from7 to 11 years).
