Objective: To compare efficacy and safety among proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFNA),hip semiarthroplasty(HAP)and proximal femoral locking compression plate(PF-LCP)for elderly patients with Treatment of unstable intertrochanteric fractures. Methods: 136 patients with intertrochanteric fracture were divided into three groups(proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFNA)group,hip semiarthroplasty(HAP)and proximal femoral locking compression plate(PF-LCP)group)depending on surgical approaches from March 2011 to August 2016.Surgical indicators(operative time, blood loss, length of incision)were observed.Besides, other posteroperative indicators, such as postoperative weight-bearing time, fracture healing time, hip score and postoperative complications were compared among three groups. Results: Operative time, blood loss, length of incision of patients in PFNA group were superior to those of patients in PF-LCP group and the differences were all statistically significant(P <0.05);Load days, fracture healing time of patients in PFNA group were better than those of patients in PF-LCP group and also the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05);Patients in PFNA group achieved higher postoperative Harris score than the PF-LCP group. Conclusion: For senile unstable intertrochanteric fracture,PFNA is more effective in achieving clinical outcome and reducing postoperative complications and it is worthy of clinical application and promotional use. |
