Curative Effect Comparison Between Proximal Femoral Locking Compression Plate And Intertan

Objective To make an investigation of the curative effect of therapy forintertrochanteric fracture between the proximal femoral locking compression plate andInterTan.Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of38cases of intertrochantericfracture underwent surgery between September2011and March2013. Including17males and21females, ranging in age from42to82years old. Evans type: type I4cases, type Ⅱ10cases, type Ⅲ14cases, type Ⅳ8cases, type Ⅴ2cases. Theywere divided into two groups according to the different methods of treatment: thePF-LCP group with20cases and the InterTan group with18cases. To analysis theinformation on intraoperative blood loss, time of operation, intraoperative radiationexposure time, fracture healing time, psotoperative Visual analogue score,psotooerative Harris score.Results Intra-operative blood loss was （150.5+18.2）ml in the InterTan group and（262.2±22.3）ml in the PF-LCP group, this difference had statistically significant（P<0.05）. Operation time and X-ray exposure time were （96.3±9.1）min,（18.10±5.34）s in the InterTan group,(82.6±8.3）min（,7.56±2.56）s in the PF-LCP group,these differences had statistically significant（P<0.05）.38cases were followed up for6～18months after operation, fractures in all the patients were healed. Fracturehealing time was （14.5±3.8）weeks in the InterTan group and （15.1±6.5）weeksin the PF-LCP group. Harris score of hip joint was （81.1±10.8）points in theInterTan group and （83.5±9.5）points in the PF-LCP group. There was nostatistically significant deference between the two groups. Conclusion With the surgery technology of treatment of intertrochanteric fracturecontinues to development and progress. There are many kinds of alternative way ofinternal fixation. Different ways of fixing have different characteristics. As the currentlatest representative ways of extramedullary and intramedullary fixation, PF-LCP andInterTan are both the ideal fixation of therapy for intertrochanteric fracture,they bothcan get a good fixed effect. Treatment with PF-LCP has a much Intra-operative bloodloss in operation, but a shorter operation time and X-ray exposure time than treatmentwith InterTan.
