Objective To investigate the relationship between serum retinol binding protein 4(RBP4)and glycolipid metabolism andInsulin resistance in type 2diabetes mellitusMethods 1.Subjects: Type 2 Diabetes: 73 patients type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)without complication who were hospitalized in our hospital,41 males and 32 females;Control group: selected to our hospital physical examination of 31 healthy people,11 males and 20 females.2.Collect the two groups of gender,age,height,weight and other general clinical data,Fasting blood glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FINS),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),liver and kidney function;Insulin resistance index(HOMA-β)= FINS(mmol / L)× 20 /(FPG(mmol / L)-3.5),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)= FPG(mmol/L)×FINS(mmol/L)/ 22.5,body mass index(BMI)= body weight(Kg)/ height(m)2;3.The differences of FPG,FINS,HOMA-β,HOMA-IR,HbA1 c,TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C and RBP4 were compared between the two groups.4.The correlationbetween RBP4 and FPG,FINS,HOMA-β,HOMA-IR,HbA1 c,TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C and BMI was analyzed by spearman correlation analysis.5.Factors influencing serum RBP4 in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were analyzed by multiple stepwise regression analysis.Result 1.T2 DM group,FPG,FINS,HbA1 c,TG,TC higher than the control group,HDL-C lower than the control group,p <0.05;2.The HOMA-IR in T2 DM group was higher than that in control group,p <0.05,HOMA-β was lower than that in control group,p <0.05;3.RBP4 in both groups showed higher RBP4 in T2 DM group than in control group,p <0.05;4.The results of spearman correlation analysis show that RBP4 was positively correlated with FPG,Hb A1 c,TG,r = 0.320,0.284,0.334,P <0.05;5.Using RBP4 as the dependent variable,FPG,Hb A1 c,TG as independent variables,using multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that TG is the influencing factor of serum RBP4.Conclusion 1.T2 DM group serum RBP4 was higher than the control group;2.Serum RBP4 may be involved in the process of glucose and lipid metabolism disorders in T2DM;3.TG may be the influencing factor of RBP4.
