Research On Curative Effect Of Prosthetic Replacement Method And ORIF Method In The Treatment Of Mason ? Type Of Radial Head Fracture

Objective: By comparing the effects of two kinds of operation method in the treatment of Mason ? type of radial head fracture,which are the prosthetic replacement method and ORIF method.The aim is to obtain the best way to treat Mason ? radial head fractures,furthermore,to provide reference for clinical reasonable select therapy.Methods: According to the case inclusion criteria as well as exclusion criteria of this study,this study selected 60 patients with Mason ? radial head fractures admitted to Shandong university of Chinese medicine affiliated hospital orthopedic ward during the period of September 2014 to September 2015.According to the method of random numbers,the patients were randomly divided into A,B two groups.Patients in group A used prosthetic replacement method,while patients in group B used ORIF method.Both groups of patients during hospitalization were given Chinese medicine for auxiliary treatment.Besides,all of the patients would get a follow-up visit to take the elbow joint positive slice in half a month,one month,three months and six months after the operation.In addition,they will be graded after twelve months post-operation with reference to Broberg and Morrey scoring criteria.And then fill the Mason ? radial head fractures patient review table.Results:(1)All of the 60 patients enrolled in the study were followed up,the period lasted for 12 months,no complications such as infection,nerve injury occurred.In group A,no prosthesis loosening and dislocation happened,there were 2 cases of mild heterotopic ossification and 1 case of elbow joint stiffness.In group B,there were 4 cases of heterotopic ossification,5 cases of elbow joint stiffness and 3 cases of fracture healing.(2)After the surgery,elbow movements of the patients in both group had good functions,but flexion and rotation function of patients in group A were better than that of group B.(3)The rate of elbow joint function in group A was 20.00% higher than group B.Conclusion: This study shows that the ealy effect of prosthesis replacement in the treatment of Mason ? radial head fractures is better than that of ORIF.
