The Discussion About The Regularities Of Medicine Of Professor Cui Dezhi In The Treatment Of Elderly Patients With Type 2 Diabetes

Objective: With the use of data-mining to explore the regularities of traditional chinese medicine used by Professor Cui Dezhi in the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and its common complications,we attempted to sunmmerize and discuss Prof.Cui's thoughts in diagnosing and treating the diseases in order to provide new thoughts and methods for the diagnose and therapy of diabetes.Methods: With the complications of elderly type 2 diabetes--diabetes complicated disease to regard the prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine by Prof.Cui as the study object—456 formulas were collected.By analysing frequency and association rules and using several other data mining methods,we digged out the central herbs,herb couples and herb groups of the formulas to explore the law of Prof.Cui' s prescriptions in treating these dieases.Results: In the collected typical formulas in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in elderly patients,expelling phlegm medicine were used most often,and secondly were antipyretic medicine and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis medicine.Conclusion: Invigorating spleen-stomach and replenishing qi,moistening dryness method were the main methods in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in elderly patients in all.Promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis,eliminating dampness and diuresis,expelling remnant toxicity and eliminating phlegm and resolving turbidity methods were employed when excess syndrome was apparent,at the same time,invigorating spleen-stomach and replenishing qi,nourishing kidney,and moistening dryness method were accompanied in the treatment of essential pathogenesis.Prof.×× took invigorating spleen-stomach and replenishing qi very important,and should be valued through treatment of the disease.Prof.××'s formulas in the treatment mentioned above were abroudely used and the consequent were effective.The thoughts in diagnosing and treating are worthy to be referenced and practiced.To gain more marrow of Prof.××'s thoughts in diagnosing and treating the elderly type 2 diabetes and its blood vessel complications,we should collect more formulas,dig more deeply about the regularities of the traditional chinese medicine and further sort out her clinical experience for the purpose of more widely application.
