| Objective: The clinical study of 160 cases of stage IIIB and IV EGFR wild-type non-small cell lung cancer clinical observation and statistics have been done,to explore the role of the Anti-lung Tumor Ointment improving the survival status of patients. Methods: 160 cases of eligible patients were divided into chemotherapy group(80 cases)and combined with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)group(80 cases). The data of patients within and between groups were collected,to make comparison of TCM syndrome score,FACT-L score for measuring quality of life, survival time and smoking situation in patients in two groups. Results: Within group, the scores of combined with TCM group were improved on TCM syndrome score,5 modules and total score in FACT-L score for measuring quality of life(P<0.05).Compared with chemotherapy group between groups, the scores were improved on FACT-L physiology module, function module, distinctive lung cancer module and total score(P<0.01).The survival time of combined with TCM group were better than that of chemotherapy group. In addition, compared with smokers, nonsmokers were improved on TCM syndrome score,FACT-L score for measuring quality of life and survival time(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.The change of TCM syndrome was not obvious with pure chemotherapy and Anti-lung Tumor Ointment combined with chemotherapy can improve TCM syndrome, that was better than pure chemotherapy.2.Quality of life on multiple modules have declined with pure chemotherapy and Anti-lung Tumor Ointment combined with chemotherapy can improve the quality of life to reduce the side effect of chemotherapy, that was better than pure chemotherapy obviously.3.TCM syndrome score and FACT-L score for measuring quality of life have preferable relativity on physiology module, function module, distinctive lung cancer module and total score.4.With Anti-lung Tumor Ointment combined with chemotherapy, mean survival time, median survival time and long term survival were longer than pure chemotherapy.5.Decreasing smoking can improve TCM syndrome score,FACT-L score for measuring quality of life and long term survival, which is suggested that smoking is an important factor for the deterioration of NSCLC. |
