Objective (s): To analyze the temperature of patients after cerebellopontine angle tumor resection and to explore the risk factors of postoperative fever in patients with CPA tumor. To provide basis for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of postoperative fever. Methods: Retrospectively analyzed the related information of 111 patients with CPA tumor surgery in our department from January 2015 to December 2016. The patients were divided into groups according to the postoperative degree of temperature and causes of fever, and the distribution of postoperative temperature was described. The related factors were analyzed by univariate analysis, and the reasonable factors were included in the logistic regression model for multivariate analysis to find out the risk factors of postoperative fever with the application of SPSS22.0.Results: The postoperative fever occurred in 68 patients, the fever rate was 61.3%.The rate of non-infection in patients with postoperative fever was 70.6%, and the rate of infection was 29.4%. The univariate analysis found that postoperative temperature was associated with the surgical duration, skull defect and tumor size (P<0.05). The multivariate analysis indicated that postoperative temperature was associated with the chronic diseases, surgical duration, preoperative albumin level, postoperative neutrophil level, duration of drainage and skull defect (P<0.05).Conclusion(s): There is a high incidence of fever in in the patients after CPA tumor resection, and the reasons of postoperative fever are complicated. The majority of postoperative fever is non-infectious, and the majority of infections are intracranial infection and pulmonary infection. The chronic diseases, long surgical duration, low level of preoperative albumin, long duration of drainage and skull defect are the high risk factors of postoperative fever. The early postoperative neutrophil level?90% is the protective factor of postoperative fever.
