Objective : To observe the changes of serum calcitonin ( CT), parathyroid hormone(PTH)and 25 hydroxyvitamin D(25D)levels in patients with early traumatic brain injury and fracture, and to explore the possible mechanism of promoting bone formation.Whether there are differences in hormone levels between different fracture sites and the correlation between hormones. Methods: This research analyzed the data of 55 patients diagnosed with limb long fracture from June 2015 to September 2016 in The First Affiliated of Kunming Medical University by prospective study .Among the 55 patients, TBI+ fracture group of 25 patients, simple fracture group of 30 patients, Patients were detected for lth?7th and 14th day of patients with CT,PTH , 25D serum levels by Electro-chemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLI) . The SPSS 20.0 software was used for statistical analysis, all measurement data are expressed as (x + s) and compared by the means of t test or rank-sum test, different fracture site measurement data were compared by the means of one-way ANOVA,chi-square text was used for all enumeration data. Results: TBI+ fracture group, patients with 1th?7th day serum CT value is lower than the simple fracture group, and it were statistically significant, P < 0.01, serum CT value was lower than simple fracture group in the 14th day, but without statistical significance, P>0.05;Serum PTH value of 1th?7th day in TBI+ fracture group was significantly higher than that of the simple fracture group, P < 0.001, and 14th days of the two groups was not statistically significant, P>0.05; Serum 25D in the 1th, 7th,14th day in TBI+ fracture group was lower than the simple fracture group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups, P>0.05 .There was no significant correlation between the two groups of CT, PTH and 25D correlation analysis, P>0.05.We compared the differences of PTH, CT and 25D between different fracture sites in the same group, and found no statistical significance,P>0.05Conclusion: In the early stage of traumatic brain injury, the dynamic changes of serum PTH and CT levels may be one of the important mechanisms to accelerate bone formation. There were no significant differences in hormone levels between different fracture sites. There was no significant correlation between serum PTH, CT and 25D levels in the two groups.
