Part one Correlation of choroidal thickness and vessel density withvisual function in Retinitis Pigmentosa PatientsObjective:Toanalyze the subfoveal choroidal thickness and the macular choroid vessel density in Retinitis Pigmentosa patients by means of optical coherence tomonraphy(OCT).Meanwhile evaluate the correlation between the choroidal thickness, vessel density with visual function, and compare the difference and coherence on the fundus examination made with two kinds of OCT.Methods:From September 2014 to March 2017,were collected from 60 cases of sporadic RP patients(120 eyes)and the control of their age and diopter matched 60 healthy subjects(120 eyes)were enrolled in this study.Cirrus HD-OCT enhanced depth imaging(enhanced depth imaging,EDI)was used to measure the choroidal thickness and blood flow density in all eyes.RP eyes and electroretinogram(ERG)examination, and the use of OCTOPUS automated perimetry T32 or LVC procedures for the 30 degree visual field examination, comparative analysis of the test results of two groups, and to investigate the correlation of choroidal thickness in patients with RP,blood density and visual function. Results:There was a positive correlation between the density of blood group RP between foveal choroidal thickness and macular choroidal(r=0.398,P<0.001);in the 31-40 age group,RP group of foveal thickness and macular choroidal blood flow density there was a positive correlation between(r=0.647,P<0.001).In 31 to 40 years of age group, the RP group of macular choroidal thickness and macular choroidal blood flow density was significantly lower than the normal group(P<0.001).There was a certain correlation between the choroidal thickness and macular choroidal blood flow in the RP group(P<0.05).There was no significant correlation between macular choroidal thickness and macular choroidal blood flow in patients with RP and visual function analysis(P>0.05).Conclusions:The choroidal thickness and blood flow density of RP can only reflect the degree of pathological changes to some extent. There was no significant correlation between macular thickness and macular choroidal blood flow and visual function in patients with RP.Part two Analysis of Angio-OCT and HD-OCT in RP patientsObjective:To compare the difference and correlation of two kinds of OCT(optical coherence tomography-optical(Angio coherence tomography,Angio-OCT)and Cirrus HD-OCT)in the detection of RP patients. Methods:From the observation group were 30 RP patients(60 eyes)healthy controls matched with age and diopter of 30 people(60 eyes),Angio-OCT and HD-OCT were used to measure all eyes foveal retinal and choroidal thickness and macular retinal blood flow density, choroidal blood flow area and flow density. The measurement index of the two groups were analyzed and the difference and correlation between retinal and choroidal thickness measurement of Angio-OCT and HD-OCT value were analyzed the difference and correlation between.Results:1.Retinal thickness:there was no significant difference between the two kinds of macular thickness measured by OCT(P>0.05).Compared with the normal group, the macular thickness and macular retinal blood flow density of RP group were significantly lower(P<0.001).There was no significant correlation between macular thickness and macular retinal blood flow in RP group(r=0.051,P=0.697).2.Choroidal thickness:foveal choroidal thickness meastured by Angio-OCT in two groups were measured by HD-OCT increased, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);group RP foveal choroidal thickness decreased compared with the normal group(P<0.05),but there were no significant macular choroidal blood flow and blood flow area the density difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant correlation between the choroidal thickness and the choroidal blood flow and blood flow density in the two groups(P>0.05).3.There was a positive correlation between the thickness of retina and choroidal thickness measured by the two kinds of OCT(P<0.001).Conclusions:The imaging principles and techniques of the two devices are different, but there is a certain correlation between the thickness of the retina and the choroid.Part three Angio-OCT analysis of patients with RP before and after combined treatment of traditional Chinese and Western MedicineObjective:Exploratory application of Angio-OCT to observe the changes of fundus and visual function in patients with RP before and after combined treatment of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Methods:From January 2016 to March 2017,a total of 13 patients met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of sporadic RP patients(26 eyes)were enrolled in this study.Angio-OCT was used to detect the changes of retinal and choroidal blood flow in patients with RP before and after combined treatment of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Results:In 13 RP patients(26 eyes)with combination of TCM and Western medicine after treatment of retinal blood flow density, blood flow, blood flow and choroid area density compared with before treatment were significantly increased, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After treatment, the best corrected visual acuity and visual acuity were improved than before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusions:Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine can improve the visual function of patients with RP,but there is no obvious change in the retinal and choroidal blood flow, which needs further study.
