Research Progress Of Chronic Low Back Pain Caused By LFJOA

Background:Lumbar facet joint osteoarthritis(LFJOA)was a common degenerative lumbar spine,and it was one of the common causes of chronic low back pain,especially in the elderly with severe vertebral facet joint degeneration is more likely to low back pain.Nevertheless,to date Facet joint osteoarthritis(FJOA)has received far less study than other important Osteoarthritis(OA)phenotypes such as knee OA,and other features of spine pathoanatomy such as degenerative disc disease.China has entered the aging society,the population of LFJOA increased sharply,and with the development of economy,people pursuit a higher quality of life.However,the diagnosis and treatment of LFJOA are still controversial.Objective:By reviewing the present research on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic low back pain caused by LFJOA,provide some references for the clinical treatment.Method:Retrieval some key words,for example:“lumbar”?“facet joint osteoarthritis”?“ chronic low back pain”,find out the related research of chronic low back pain cause by LFJOA,and analyze and summarize.Results and conclusions:Now,there is a lot of literature about the LFJOA,comprehensive the results indicate that:LFJOA is one of the common causes of chronic low back pain,but there is no uniform standard for the diagnosis,and the treatment methods are varied,but most patients can achieve relatively satisfactory results by conservative and interventional therapy,only a handful of serious degeneration and have obvious neurologic symptoms and combined other spinal degeneration(such as stenosis and lumbar spinal instability,disc degeneration,etc.)of the patients may consider open surgery.
